I could ask this of any fictional character on television at the moment who may not agree with the new world order... Seeley Booth from Bones for instance, or team Scorpion, although the Scorpionverse already established that their president is diverged from reality, although, so has reality's POTUS.
I think of the new MacGyver (first) because it's basically live action Team America World Police, a CIA like gang who roves the world ####ing up any country that threatens America even tangentially. They're Thugs. Thugs who have not accepted that they are pure evil because they believe their cause is righteous, and their opposition inhuman, so the ends always justifies the means, evern though they are obviously terrorists considering how often I see them running towards a border with the entire military of Dictatorstan (not a real country) following them guns blazing.
What's going to happen when MacGyver and Jack Dalton stop getting orders that they like, or can rationalize as worth chipping away at their character to carry forward with?
If the Phoenix Foundation (Where MacGyver works) is willing to topple any other third rate tyrant hive ####ing over it's citizens, in the name goodness and the Advancement of the American Century, why are they ignoring the taffy puss troll occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
