I don't know what the Story of Ricky is, but I knew you were referring to the drill scene in First Contact.
I've also seen the episode of Nip/Tuck where the actor who plays Phlox wanted the doctors to amputate his healthy leg because he had a bizarre condition that made him think his leg wasn't his, like the opposite of phantom limb syndrome.

OP here. Actually, it's more about how funny is how they straight-faced an explanation for the sexy catsuit. Also I love question marks.

Because I don't don't know who "Seve of Nine" is, I've just been assuming you meant "Seven of Nine" but considering how randomly typos can hide what people really mean, there's every chance in the world that you could have meant to write "Steve of Nine".

From what I understood, the silver high-necked outfit from her initial appearances in Season Four was medical equipment to help regenerate her skin. Her various low-necked outfits in various shades were just the clothes she chose to wear.

Seven seems quite uninterested in the artistic and while she will sometimes acknowledge something is pleasing to look at she feels the same way about astrometrics. That suit is comfortable and serviceable to her, and makes her feel enclosed and held together the way Borg armor does. Wearing something with extraneous fabric flapping about is not going to be something she wants to do outside of dressing up like a real human being and doing human lessons.

She probably does design her own suits to the extent of specifying fabric and colour choices.
