How do you see the person above you?

tsq's avatar has always bugged me because I have absolutely no idea what it is.
Oy Vey. You're missing out, then! He is the Pointed Man, from my favorite childhood movie, The Point, with a story and music by the great Harry Nilsson (though you probably don't know who he is either, do you? :scream:), and narrated by none other than Ringo Starr.

I'm just going to smile and nod.

:wtf: That was very odd.

^ It is... it is green. :D

As an aside: I have never seen that movie, although I am very much a fan of Harry Nilsson. I'm going to have to check it out!

^^^You should! It's about a little boy named Oblio who is born into a world where everything has a point -- even the people have points on top of their heads. Well, not Oblio, who's head is round as a bowling ball. After he pisses off the Count's son, Oblio is banished to the Pointed forest, where he finds that everything has a point, even if they have no point...see? It's really a nice little movie.
I'm just going to smile and nod.

It was the 70's. And that was the most normal clip from the movie, here's another:

And Harry Nilsson was a singer/songwriter of the 60's and 70's who was chummy with the Beatles. He used to hold a record for his 5 octave voice range. He wrote a lot of songs that were made hits by other artists (like "One" -- you know "one is the loneliest number..."), but is also famous for songs like "Without You" and the theme to Midnight Cowboy, "Everybody's Talkin'."

The Point was a chilren's move that aired a few times between 78 (I think) and 85 or 86 (I remember watching it on TV before we got the VHS, and I was born in 83). It is a wonderful little movie.

^ Shameless seems like a nice guy, someone who could be a funny and loyal friend, and someone who both flirts and spams, well, shamelessly. :D
