How do you like your tea?

Fortnum and Mason Royal Blend, milk, no sugar.

Failing that, Tetley's :)

Does anybody, by the way, know a blend of tea that's quite stronger then Earl Grey?

I'm not sure what to suggest because to me Earl Grey tastes of dish-water, so I don't equate it with strength of flavour.

Try Assam or one of the Breakfast (English or Irish) blends. They'll taste very different to the Earl Grey but they're good strong flavours.

Sweet iced tea.

Hot, Earl Grey tea, with honey.

Green tea, hot little sugar.

I'm not really into tea: I like it, but apparently I can't get it into my daily routine. I tried to have some around "just in case", but I tend to forget about them.

I guess I find it "boring", for lack of a better word. You have to steep it, wait for it to cool down (i don't like hot beverages), and I just can't get to the bottom of the mug. I usually drink italian espresso: one small cup has all the caffeine I need for a morning shot, you make it and you drink it right away.

I guess I have ADHD relative to morning beverages.
I've found you can shorten the cooling time immensely by simply dropping two ice cubes into the mug while its steeping. Don't do it after the bag is removed, obviously, or it'll water down your tea, but if you let it steep while its melting the tea bag will flavor the melt water as it in turn cools down the tea.

Yorkshire tea has a fairly strong flavour, that's what I go for on the rare occasions a want to make tea for dunking biscuits - certainly strong enough to be taken with milk and sugar, and stand the abuse of dunking. :D

Now, that's a good question. What biscuit do you prefer to dunk in your tea?

Call me old fashioned, but the humble plain Digestive is still a winner for me. :D

The only biscuit I'll dunk is a Ginger Nut (and lord that's asking to be taken out of context :p) - anything else melts too much into the tea.

Now, as for biscuits to accompany tea, I do like a nice Rich Tea :)

I'll drink just about any tea as long as it's steeped (or mashed, as we say where I'm from) for quite a while. A bit of milk and two sugars, too. In a mug or a Big Cup.

But I prefer coffee anyway...

And biccys? Any will do. I'm a first-class Biccy Dunker and very rarely will my cup have biccy residue in it due to drop-offage. All biccys have their charms and dunking methods.

But the best food to go with a cuppa tea? Bacon buttie. Oh yeah.

:D

Tea with milk, I never quite understood it (actually, I did use to put milk in my tea when up until I was 10 or so, but I lost the appetite for it afterwards).

:)

I like my tea in a china cup served on a silver tray by my man Jeeves...

Fav at mo ~ Birt&Tang's Easy Night ~ contains;
Wild chrysanthemum,
Albizzia flower,
Wild juniper seed,
Turmeric root,
Lily bulb,
Rose hip... hang on ~ I think that's my gardeners shopping list :vulcan:

Tea without milk and sugar is bitter. Adding sugar helps with that, but still leaves it very strong. Adding milk "softens" the taste; if you're a big fan of flavor this might not be the way for you, but I find that it transforms the tea into "essence of warmth" when done right. :)

I drink more tea than I do beer.
Dear God, tell me you didn't actually mean that! :wtf:

Well I certainly do. 2-3 mugs of tea per day, usually. Alcohol is more like 1 every six months.

I mostly enjoy Earl Grey with extra bergamot oil. Black and sugar free. However, it can sometimes make me feel very thirsty and fuzzy headed for some reason.

For biscuit dunking, I prefer rich teas, morning coffee, and ginger nuts are good too. Probably the worst dunkers are oat biscuits as they fall apart almost immediately, and a cup full of oaty sludge is no fun. 'Nice' biscuits don't dunk well either.

Theophylline makes tea better than coffee for thinking awakeness. While caffeine gives more of a jolt, it's not as good at allowing mental focus.

^ As good an idea as I've ever heard. Lets stay away from French this time... :D

Your wish is my command. What do you fancy?

I drink more tea than I do beer.

I do drink a lot. Of tea. Always have done - it's lovely. :)

Yeah, but this is Dr. Horrible we're talking about. I think someone hacked his account.

I think you might be mistaking me for that bounder ymf77. That one never touched a keyboard sober in his life... :guffaw:
