How do you like your tea?

PG Tips with a bit of milk. Lovely. :) No sugar though. I drink more tea than I do beer.

I am partial to a bit of green tea though. Guess you could say I like my tea like I like my wimmen - Green! :techman:

For example: I guarantee you that you will be able to taste Lapsang Souchong--though personally, I can't stand the stuff: it's much too strong for me, and its flavour reminds me of Latakia pipe tobacco, which I also dislike.

Morning Thunder - it's an acquired taste, though. Never much cared for it.

Morning Thunder

Thank you both; I'll look into those. The reason I ask is since tea is supposed to be better for you then coffee; although it might be less so with strong teas. However, I like drinks that have a strong flavor; most common tea blends are too "watery" for my taste. You can let it sit longer, but there comes a point where it won't taste any stronger, just less enjoyable.

Well I guess the first question would be: is he using real tea, or tea bags?

I've tried both. At work of course, they only have tea bags. So I drink Earl Grey there when I'm in danger of having too much caffeine in my system (drinking water and/or sodas all day isn't all that, either). I'd like to be able to drink less coffee and more tea. Finding most tea blends (especially those green and/or flower teas a lot of people there are so fond of) much too mild to enjoy for my taste, limits my choice.

Of course, if those strong teas have nearly as much caffeine in them as coffee, it kinda misses the point for me. :D

English/Irish breakfast. I particularly like the Mighty Leaf brand. Hot, with skim milk (or as lowfat as possible) and a bit of sweetener.

While sugar is my preferred sweetener, I've been using Splenda lately since I have a huge box of it to finish. As the artificials go, Splenda is easily the least objectionable.

Also, screw those coffee layouts which think to provide hot water and teabags, but don't think to provide milk. One does not drink tea with half&half, thank you!

King Cole, strong, with a little bit of milk... I do not like being burnt by my tea!

Preferable given to someone else. Tea is exactly like coffee and beer. Its proponents have come up with 18,000 different flavors of it to disguise the fact that it all tastes exactly the same.

I like my Tea the way I like my women-- hot and black and steeped for at least twenty minutes. With two sugars.

I also drinked Iced Tea. Tea is pretty much all I drink, in fact, except for the occasional foray into Grape Kool-Aid.

My most drunk brand is a kenyan tea that M&S do, but generally I'll drink any nice blend of the common teas that isn't a cheapie main brand like PG Tips of Tetley.

I like it strong, brewed for at least 3 minutes, no sugar, and enough milk to make it opaque, but not milky. Pantone 724.

Strong, dark, one sugar, cooled enough that I don't have to sip and can actually drink it rather than use it as a conversational prop.

I'm not really into tea: I like it, but apparently I can't get it into my daily routine. I tried to have some around "just in case", but I tend to forget about them.

I guess I find it "boring", for lack of a better word. You have to steep it, wait for it to cool down (i don't like hot beverages), and I just can't get to the bottom of the mug. I usually drink italian espresso: one small cup has all the caffeine I need for a morning shot, you make it and you drink it right away.

I guess I have ADHD relative to morning beverages.

Two ways:

Earl grey, hot, with a small amount of sugar

Southeastern US style sweet tea
