How do you like to watch your games

Usually with a lot of snacks, a keg, and an adult diaper.

That's usually how I roll!

:techman:

Seriously though, once you have TiVo and the Sunday Ticket, bathroom breaks are allowed....

I watch football the most. College and pro. I just watch the regualr broadcast. Most announcers don't bother me that much.

There's something about a summer day, listening to baseball on the radio. I can't quite describe it, but that's a great thing...

I prefer to watch on TV. I can't stay focused when listening to the radio. Live is a fun experience, but again, I have a hard time focusing. I will look at something in the stadium, and miss plays, and that annoys the living hell out of me.

I prefer to watch a game in person, it is always so exciting and I can scream as loud as I want to. If I can't catch a game in person then watching it on t.v. is the next best thing.

Friday nights in the summer time my parents would load up the car and drive up to my grandma's house in the Catskills. Long summer sunsets along a real scenic, rural route with the Mets game on the radio. I loved it. If we timed it right, we'd hear 6 or 7 innings.

I prefer to watch on TV, but since I live in Southern Ontario and share a TV with all my housemates, that's not usually possible.

I've been enjoying CBCSports.ca

Nothing beats a hockey game at the Bell Centre (Go, Habs, Go!!) but that's a rare treat.

Otherwise, on the HD projector (though I will sometimes still watch it on regular TV in the living room--firing up the PJ is not always practical, especially when the youngest one is still up and/or it's late in the game).

I often listen to games in the car on the radio, too.

These are my preferred methods of watching some football:

At the company's private box at the stadium.
At the stadium, central seats near the top.
At home on the biggest TV/projector possible with friends and booze.

Drunk. Preferably in one of those swank corporate boxes.

At home? Well... drunk, but with a couch.

Yeah, my father did same when I was growing up. Whenever the national football team would play, we would watch on Tv with the volume muted, and then turn on the radio and use that as our speak.

There's a tremendous difference between TV and radio speak. The TV speakers tend to not say anything for up to several minutes at a time, and often talk about stuff from earlier matches and various tidbits of useless football knowledge.
On radio they constantly tell you what's happening, which is fantastic if you're not sure about the players' names and certain techniques and so on. They're more like: "...And number 10 Michael Laudrup expertly passes across to number 7 Preben Elkjær, who brilliantly swings around opposing player number 5 Gilberto Gimenez but doesn't..."

I kinda like that.

Yeah, my Granddad always watched/listened to the cricket like that too.

I can remember staying up til the small hours of the morning to listen to live ice hockey games broadcast across the internet. It was the local radio broadcasters which was really cool, especially back in the day when ice hockey was only just beginning to be shown on British TV.

Of course, now I live in the land of ice hockey and I haven't seen a game since I've been here...
