How do you fix Discovery?

If you believe Discovery is broken, how do you fix it? If you think it works, how would you improve it?

It is what it is. Some people will like it fine. Some people will be bored or annoyed and quit it. CBS is not going to cancel it.

Still hate the Discovery ship design. So, yeah. blow it up and get a new ship. The one from the first two episodes would have perfectly serviceable as the hero ship.

Getting serious Deja Vu to when Enterprise first aired. Star Trek Discovery is two episodes old. There is nothing to fix. We don't even know what this show is about yet. We haven't even seen the titular Discovery. Ask this question again after season 1 ends.

We shall have to see how it all fits together moving forward, will we be given a viable reason as to why the technologies don't match or the Klingons have changed.

I like the Discovery and the possibility that it is an R&D test bed ship with maybe a connection to Section 31 (I hope), I also don't have a problem with the backdrop of the show being the Federation/Klingon war, Burnham has been meh so far but I like what I have seen so far of Captain Lorca.

I just get the feeling we wont really get an explanation as to why certain canon aspects have been changed, is there a valid story/plot reason or did they just not do their homework.

We're only 2 episodes in so far. The premise of show hasn't even been properly set up yet. Until then I can't make a suggestion on how to improve it, with the exception that the first three episodes should have been released together, not the first two.

It's a serialised show, so treat it as such. What we've seen so far is an prologue.
