How do the Klingons feel about V'Ger?

I've always wondered how the Klingons felt about V'Ger, a massive ship that destroyed three cruisers on its way to Federation space before it...disappeared. Do they know the truth of what happened? How has it affected their interaction with the Federation?

Has this been covered by any comics or books? Is it ever mentioned in one of the shows?

But that's what Klingon's did, at least until the Khitomer Accords. They did the same thing when the Augments commandeered a Bird of Prey. They thought it was a dirty Terran plot.

I suppose the Klingons initially did think that V'Ger was a weapon, but it didn't take long for them to see that it was on course and threatening Earth and destroyed Epsilon IX, so I guess that assured them V'Ger was not launched by us.

^ But in a very real sense, V'Ger *was* launched by us, because it originally came from Earth. If the Klingons find out about that - i.e. that V'Ger was originally Voyager VI - of course they'd blame Earth for it. They wouldn't care that V'Ger's creation was an accident.

The Klingon probably thought the the crews of those three cruisers were given an opportunity to die in honorable battle against a mighty opponent, a ultimate fate which all proper Klingons desire.

Stories were told of their deeds and a epic opera was composed.

I don't know, the Klingons were simply wiped out of existence like a fly with the last ship retreating from the encounter. Someone like Worf would have probably called V'ger cowardous for never showing its "face" while the easy defeat of the Empire's latest and prestigous battlecruisers wouldn't really be the stuff a Klingon would want to write home about.

However, V'ger must have been visible over Earth and I'm sure that Starfleet and others had to answer some uncomfortable questions about the "V'ger Incident".

Certainly the Klingons must have been curious how the Enterprise survived the encounter intact, probably adding to Kirk's reputation.

Given that Voyager 6 gained sentience, and that Pioneer 10 yelled out in pain, the Klingons might have very well saved the galaxy from another V'Ger

I think the Klingons would prefer to see V'Ger as the powerful device from a far-away world and not as an old lost probe from earth.

Their choice to back Kruge was a political manoeuver into a context of diplomatic negociations between them and the Federation. Furthermore, the Genesis developers were well identified and easy to link with Kirk.

The would have exceeded the critical the critical level of bullshit if they tried to depcit an old NASA waste targetting the Earth as a doomsday machine against the Klingon empire.

the Klingons must secretly detest the Federation, or humans at least. Most of the major developments in their society for centuries have had human and/or Federation involvement lol.. They even needed the Federation to help them win their Civil War haha..
