How diverse is your family?

On my mother's side: mixture of English, Irish, German, and I recently learned that my mom's mother was born in the U.S. When asked about ethnicity, I ignore this side of my family as it's been mostly irrelevant in my life.

On my dad's side: mostly Swedish, but my grandfather's mother's family goes back to 10th century Norway (that we know of).

Religion-wise: dad's side mostly atheist, although my dad became obsessed with space alien/Chariots of the Gods/UFO crap. Varying degrees of Christianity on my mom's side, and my mom was horrified and disgusted when I told her I'm atheist.

Sexual orientation? Not my business, and my own reasons for opting out of reproduction is none of their business, since none of them would understand it.

Species? Several. I'm one of the folks who considers a pet to be part of the family, so my family has consisted of (at various times) humans, birds (domestic cage birds and tame farm geese), cats, dogs, goats, and pet rocks. I felt some affection for the squirrels who used to live in the back yard when I had a house, as well.

Very white: British Isles and Ireland white. with a slight touch of Native American. Family comes from Tennessee but I have to go back three Centuries to get off the North American continent. We are diverse in our Northern Europeaness, though. We are tall and short. Wavy and ruler straight haired. Blond, brunette and even black haired. Blue eyed, brown eyed and hazel eyes. Pale skinned, olive skinned and a few shades in between. The extended family includes several people of Hispanic ancestry, including my wife.
My sisters are very devout Christians. My brother and I are non-believers.
My sister is law is a Lesbian. Or was, apparently. I think she's gone back in the closet because she moved to rural Oregon. I'm not aware of anyone in my family who are LGBTQ.

I'm going to throw myself on the already large very white pile. My mothers side has English and Irish roots; my dads family seems to be mostly the same and his biological family I've met have been firmly routed in Scotland so I assume not much mixing there. They've all been Christian church goers as far as I know. I'm pagan so the odd one out :/

Should be noted that most of my family have lived in the same small villiage forever, the kind of villiage that has one asian family, one homosexual (or so they like to think!) and nothing more. So diversity was limited compared to the places I've lived since which has to be a factor.

My wife's family is a bit of everything but she seems proud of her Polish-German links (well, maybe not proud - strongly connected to the history might be more accurate. With that, and being bi, she's already higher on the diverse scale than I am :p

My family isn't very diverse. We're all Asian/Pacific Islanders and identify as mostly Christians. My brother has a 20-year-old son with a half-Caucasian, half-Hispanic woman. Based on my DNA analysis, I'm Haplotype M175, and my deep ancestors were originally from Southeast Asia.

Addendum: We're mostly politically progressive, working-class, middle-income members of society. I'm the only LGBT in my family. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and anxiety/depression run in my blood. I have one nephew who has autism. My dad is U.S. Navy veteran. My sister is an Air Force veteran.
