How boldly do you go out?

This is the jewelry I was talking about:

I keep meaning to wear it, I just never remember.

I once walked into the annual business meeting of the theatre company I worked for, wearing a button that says "Beam me up sideways, Scotty... nobody here knows which way is up."

Yes, there were some people there with whom I was genuinely irritated, annoyed, angry, etc. and I thought they had made some wrong decisions.

Other than that, I wore a few other buttons now and then (the ones that got the most comments were "Only visiting this planet" and "Portable Nonsmoking Zone"). I keep most of my SF stuff strictly for conventions, parties, and for displaying at home.

At home, it's immediately obvious that I'm into science fiction/fantasy/science. I've got books everywhere, and my Fourth Doctor hat is prominently displayed in the living room. Most people have no idea what that is, but since I have yet to get a proper hat stand, that's where it is for now.

I love wearing fandom necklaces.

I have:
Vulcan salute (which no one has noticed sadly)
Voyager-shaped pendant
Xena chakram
Harley Quinn
Amy Pond
Clara Oswald
My (real) name written in Gallifreyan

I also have a Harley Quinn shirt and I just bought an Eleventh Doctor shirt that I'm super excited to wear! Still trying to find something awesome and Buffy-esque.

I have a couple of T-shirts with the Enterprise on them, and one with Voyager (which is super comfortable for some reason!)

I also have a T-shirt that looks like a TOS red shirt... for dangerous assignments! ;)

I made myself some Trekkish T-shirts to wear many years ago. This was may fave:

I made it fairly early during TNG, so I didn't get the benefit of the following years and series full of stupid phrases.

Forbin, your Forward Shield Harmonics (the front of your very cool T-shirt) indicate a Multiple Phrase Cascade (all the cool technobabble terms) that could overload the Interflexing Cryomatter (silkscreen part) and result in a degradation of the Biometric Pattern Link (the cotton part and weave of the T-shirt) ultimately leading to Incompatibility in the Equivalence and Compatability (the way your T-Shirt will fit) of your Engineering Section (torso) and Nacelles (upper arms).

I lost my starboard power coupling YEARS ago!

You know, before I lost my own Interplexing Beacon a long time ago, I learned that TechnoBabble does NOT work as any kind of "ice-breaker" or "pick-up" line.

"Would you like to see my Jeffries Tube?"
"How 'bout we mix some matter and anti-matter in my Warp Core?"
"Baby, there is no need to perform a Level One Diagnostic on you!"
"What say we see if you can regenerate my Dilithium Crystal?"
"I'd like to get my hands on your ample Nacelles!"
(Ok, so nuScotty ruined that one already)

All went over like a Tritanium Balloon!
Go Figure!

You should have slipped in "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" to see if anyone was paying attention. :p

I got this recently, have a few other Trek tshirts too but this is my favourite. The closest thing to a funny look I got was a woman in line at the Post Office taking her time to read it before going back to ignoring me. I thought, "this must be what it's like to have a great rack." :D
