How boldly do you go out?

I mostly wear button-down plaid shirts, but come laundry day I often wear my old Star Trek: The Magazine tee-shirt. Also, though not Trek. I usually wear a faded black military cap with the Galactic Empire logo on it that I got at Star Wars: In Concert several years ago. But it's getting pretty tattered... I think I need to find a new hat, but you know it'll be genre-related.

I have a command gold t-shirt with the arrowhead patch. But it is so ridiculously small that I look like Comic Book Guy in it.

I like to wear my TOS sublimation shirt out. It's loud, bright, colorful and gets attention quickly. I try to mix it with metrosexual designer jeans, boots and ray-ban aviators to make it seem as if it's actually fashionable to hold such interests, to suggest that anyone who might privately make harsh judgements about wearing loud Star Trek shirts is nothing but a hopeless philistine who's somehow missed out on what's cool.

When I'm on big multi-day hiking treks I always wear my QMx Voyager communicator badge as a symbolic talisman and reminder of the spirit of human adventure and discovery...

My ringtone is the Voyager-Hail and my text alert is the Voyager-Incoming message (mp3s from trek-core) and my Android phone uses LCARS Live Wallpaper 2 with LCARS Go-SMS and LCARS Go-Locker.

I also sit in cafes sipping long macs and managing my affairs on my PADD-size Windows tablet (locked in portrait) while using voice-activated LCARS x32 as my exclusive windows shell-replacement (maximum functionality, no gimmicky-ness). "Computer - display local weather forecast ... Computer - play something by George Michael" .. and so on...

Trek on!

Back when I used to be a fan of anything, I used to wear an authentic TNG delta emblem (touch it, and it beeps), and LCDR pips on a black sleeveless shirt I would wear to the local Trek club (when I was Chief of Security/Tactical). I also carried both a TNG (S3) phaser II, and a Klingon disruptor.

Now, my appreciation for sci-fi/pop-culture generally extends to only t-shirts.

Serenity
A few Star Wars shirts
A Weylan-Yutani campaign t-shirt (ALIENS)
A couple of shirts representing the recent series of Battlestar Galactica
Flynn's Arcade (TRON)

and from other types of shows, I have a M*A*S*H* 4077th tee.

The tees are an expression of appreciation, but not any fandom. And when someone says: "Oh wow, another (insert franchise here) fan!", I politely point out that I am not a fan of anything, without going into any diatribes.

Yeah, I have a few non Trek genre shirts: Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Captain America from comics,Star Wars and currently I'm wearing a 12th Doctor T-shirt.

I don't currently own a Star Trek T-shirt.
Neither do I. In general, I am not big on wearing shirts which advertise anything.
The other day I went to Best Buy, and as I am entering an older fellow walks out with nutrek science pin, I stopped and shook his hand. I have a few tee shirts none say Star Trek, but rather say things like Star Fleet, or UFP, a science blue TOS polo and a property of USS Enterprise polo. But I got to wonder how boldly do you dress outside of a convention.
Where did you find a Star Trek polo? I tend to wear polo shirts by Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren with a few Carolina Panthers and UNC Tarheel thrown in the mix. A polo shirt with the delta would be cool to wear, as well. :techman:

I used to wear an Xavier Institute thermal, but it only attracted humorless questions about the cost and value of higher education.

Then again, I remember wearing an TOS uniform to a costume party and people thinking I just showed up in a Nike sweatshirt. Not a lot of cool people in my life anymore.

I have a few of the TOS inspired jewelry bits they sold on Amazon a few years ago, but I rarely ever wear them.

I almost bought the polo, but them I remembered that I need to have a pocket in every shirt I wear for my reading glasses. :borg:

I'm wearing a "Creature from the Black Lagoon" tee-shirt at this very moment, but I have a Khan tee-shirt I wear pretty regularly.

I have never worn Trek gear of any kind. Not necessarily opposed to the idea, but most of what I wear is baseball stuff.

The only Trek thing I have in public is the TOS communicator noise as my iPhone ringtone.

One of the perks of wearing geeky apparel is that it helps you connect with other fans. I got into a nice discussion of comic books with a clerk at a housewares store the other day just because she commented on my "Iron Man" baseball cap . . . .

I wear the "Darmok and Jalad" t-shirt, which rocks, and I wear my Star Trek wristwatch, the limited edition Fossil pewter one the with TOS Enterprise on the dial.
