How are you Celebrating Discovery's Launch Tonight?

Going over to a friend's house to see both episodes on CBSAA (a viewing party as a number of friends will be there. She told us she subbed to CBSAA because she's a big CSI fan; so if we wanted to come over on Sundays as a group to see ST: D she was more than willing so a number of me and our mutual friends took her up on the offer.

If it wasn't for the fact that it seems CBSAA is capped at 720P resolution and is just streaming two channel stereo; and this works out (it's also fun to just get together on a regular basis with friends form something we all are (atm) interested in; I'll wait for the Blu-Ray release.

If CBSAA wants my subscription, they need to improve their back-end to allow for people to use their full 'Entertainment setup (and at least steam it in 1080P and minimum Dolby 5.1 digital audio.)

ETA:
Oh, and when I get home, I'll at least re-watch the first hour on my system from the DVR - and if I like the series - save that one until the Blu-Rays release in a year or two . ;)

I appear to be getting 1080p through my Roku ON cbs-aa.

I'm going to be going over to my little brother's house to watch it with him and his girlfriend. Star Trek runs in the family, so my brother and I are very familiar with all the series and movies. His girlfriend used to watch TNG as a small child (only because she recognized Wil Wheaton from "Stand by Me" LOL) but is otherwise a complete newcomer. I'm super excited to see what the various responses to it will be. :)

I'm at my station in front of the (my) monitor (big flatscreen TV), watching football, hoping neither Bengals-Packers nor Chiefs-Chargers go overtime :)

I think the episode starts in the east at 8:30 so even if these games go into overtime there is still time.

Watching quietly at home, just like the last 4. Of course, this will be the only ep I see this year as I'm not signing up for the service and will wait for summer rerun season on CBS where this will surely show up.

I just turned suddenly frantic. I was out all day and night yesterday. And I had a bunch of weekend chores/errands/bills/etc. I wanted to take care of. I'm almost done. But still have to take a shower, make dinner, and grab a beer.

I have to be honest, had someone told me a few days ago that, with only an hour to go I'd be this fucking hyper, I would have called them a liar.

60 Minutes started fairly close to it's starting time, so Discovery should as well.

watched all of Season 3 of Ent last week and some of 4 today. We're having a party for Trek here. I have been lurking this forum since the early 2000's but I felt it was time to come out of cloak and say hello to everyone. Really really looking forward to Trek being back on TV. Good to finally say hi to you all.

Nothing special. Just down here in New Zealand waiting on Netflix. If I weren't having a break from imbibing I'd probably get royally hammered.

Trying to get my non trekkies friends interested in the show. Word of mouth and social media. The more people who watch the show, the longer it can last on TV.

I celebrated it by watching The Orville instead. Going by the fan reviews of the pilot, I didn't miss anything.

A friend came over to watch; we had some wine and watched "Demons" and "Terra Prime" before Discovery came on. Bridge from the old to the new.
