I thought Ben meant they would move it via some kind of light refraction of some sort.....not physically moving the island. They are probably going to try to render it invisible from radar and the naked eye. The Philidelphia Experiment is something to look into.

I don't know if there's really a "teleporter" or if there are simply wormholes from the Island to various established points on the globe, such as the Sahara and Oregon.
I just saw part of a History channel (or was it Discovery?) show about the theory that the Bermuda Triangle is linked by a wormhole thru the Earth to something called the "Dragon's Triangle" off the coast of Japan. Something like that.

Just a random thought, anybody read Gullivers Travels? In the story there's a flying island called Laputa, full of scientists, astronomers, mathematicians and it's powered by a... giant magnet. While I don't think the island will fly, I couldn't help but make the connection.

The Orchid has a home cinema room. They will show Old Yeller, using a Reality Manifold Feedback Loop so that the island can watch. It will be moved to tears, and swim away in an attempt to find a shop that sells bloody great enormous tissues to soak up the torrent of tears flowing from it's....uhh....eyes? And also to get chocolate.
