How and help to create a star trek set at home

I'm over 50 and been a star trek fan since age 5. I'm building a retirement house and i'm seriously thinking about building the laundry room, downstairs bath and entry room (10x10) into star trek rooms.
-Can anyone help? I've seen you tubes on star trek homes, etc. they are fabulous and detailed but I haven't seen a "how they did it" just a tour of the final production.
-I've seen a couple good scifi star wars types of how to vids using LED lights and plywood. I guess that's what i'm after. I'm eager to learn, a do it yourselfer and can cut and weld but I admit wood working is a learning curve. anyway...
--SO IS THERE A GREAT 'HOW TO' SOURCE OR WEBSITE out there you guys can help me with?

Various tech manuals have detailed plans or drawings that include measurements. If you are skilled in carpentry, or know someone who is, these plans are enough to build your own version.

Now, none of these include wiring or lighting diagrams, but I image a simple back lit design like a light table could work in a pinch.
