Seriously though, as much as it pains me to say it, I don't think having an all (or even mostly black crew) would really draw a lot of ratings.

I was bored when I wrote this thread. I only mentioned an all-African American crew only for the fact it seems like in every series we had more caucasions and less blacks in the show. I still feel though if it had the name "Star Trek" behind it, the show would still get decent ratings. Ok, maybe one or two caucasions in there Minus the robot pet. I don't know where my mind was that day
