I'd prefer to see him do something outside of a space-set show, hopefully even outside the sci-fi genre. Have him do a crime flick or a political thriller. Hell, he'd probably get me to watch a sitcom.

How about Ben Browder? How about Lake Bell? How about Lennie James? How about Nick Stahl? How about Wayne Pygram? How about Robert Knepper? How about Clancey Brown? How about Katee Sackhoff? How about Ron Glass? How about Mila Furlan? How about William Fitchner? How about Christopher Judge?

There is no shortage of good actors who could be great in Star Trek. Or any decently written sci fi series. I could fill any cast with some great names in about five minutes. The real trick seems to be getting a decently written sci fi series on the air, and not get cancelled.

Absolutely!! I think he'd make an awesome Star Trek captain for the next series, he's just the right kind of actor to make the series more appealing to todays kind of audience.

A new series needs to be more action packed and we need someone who looks like they can take a good interrogation beating and also dish out a beating himself.
