Wilson was having the best time. Had to be great for his ego, having CTB and House fighting over him.

I thought he came out like a pussy. Letting a cold, heartless, and only slightly attractive Cut Throat Bitch rule his life like he was a little child.

But she isn't cold to him. Finally he isn't taking care of someone, they are taking care of him. It isn't as if House is very nice to him, even tho he's House's only friend. Well, Wilson and Cuddy.

She comes across as cold to me, but I guess we don't know what she's like when "we" aren't around. Still, she treats him like a baby. The poor guy can't go out with his best-friend to go bowling without her permission and "custody" had to be arranged? The hell kind of relationship is that?!

I don't think Wilson is weak here, I think he's wise enough to recognize that strength can come from yielding. House and Amber are the weak ones because they're slaves to their competitiveness, their neurotic need to get their way. Wilson is smart enough to know that if he did the same, if he pushed back against them, he would just waste energy and be unable to budge them anyway. So, like a martial-arts master, he is saving his own energy by yielding and redirecting the others' force. He's letting them tire themselves out against each other while he just goes with the flow.

After all, why should he fight it? He likes spending time with both of them, so regardless of which one "gets" him, he has an entertaining time -- and in between, he gets the added entertainment of watching them clash with one another. And by not fighting against either of them and not taking sides, he maintains good relations with both his best friend and his girlfriend rather than alienating them. I think that works out pretty well, under the circumstances. He can't change House or Amber, so he's found the healthiest adaptation to being part of their lives. It would be foolish to jeopardize that out of some sense of macho pride.

Does anyone know the name of the actress who guest stars as wife of this week's patient? I find her rather cute and charming.

Dangit! I didn't forget, I set the VCR... but because I can't figure out how to erase a program-to-record it tapes two whole hours of Deal Or No Deal on NBC (when Heroes had been on). :scream:

Crap. From what I can tell from the TWOP "recaplet" I missed a pretty good one.

I liked the episode--definitely good. I wasn't that invested in the case--it was okay, but not as involving as some of them have been.

I also was waiting for the syphilus blood to be Wilson's and House was going to tell him dramatically that Amber had been fooling around or something. I'm glad the Wilson/Amber pairing seems to be here for a while.

Overall, good, and it's nice to have House back.

Yeah, it kind of did. Amber is being a bit of a complete bitch in regards to her posession of Wilson. Loosen the reigns a bit girl!

I think she did it more to piss off House than she did it to necessarily keep control over Wilson. She wanted to piss House off plain and simple.

I also kind of wonder if nurses' stike non-plot was a wink/nod at the WGA Strike?

It absolutely was. Even the color combination on the signs was the same. Pretty clever.

Agreed--I think that's Wilson's way of thinking about the situation. It's a win-win for him. And who isn't flattered when two people are fighting over him?
