Strange, strange episode. But good to see those amazing eyes again.
HD really showed off how different she looks. Maybe it's her jaw
She does have a "different" jaw-line but,
damn, as she gorgeous!
I rate this episode an "Excellent" in part due to Thirteen's return but I think the road-trip/story between Thirteen and House was really good especially with House's "I'll kill you." at the end of the episode. By my count this makes at least three House characters who've committed medical euthanasia for a suffering patient.
Wilson did it "inadvertently" by speaking the code for the drug machine in ear-shot of a suffering patient. He planned to reveal this at a medical conference but House stepped in and did it under a pseudonym (it should be noted in the same episode other doctors at the conference admitted to doing it too.)
House himself did it (shock, I know) in the "Lock Down" episode by, I believe,
actively entering the code into the machine.
And now Thirteen did it for her brother.
I made a WTF face when she said her brother (friend) died due to an OD due to her "over prescribing" medical marijuana. My brow peaked since I'd think she'd have to
seriously "over prescribe" in order to cause her brother to OD on marijuana, something that's fairly benign if not impossible to OD on.
Touching story with her and it was nice to see the Huntington's thread touched on again as they've not really talked about it much since Thirteen got out of the drug trial Forman was running. (And I still wonder how they'll solve/end that story line when they end the show/Thirteen's character.)
The spud-gun competition bit was pretty fun and funny to see House's competition was a teenager which makes perfect sense.

Call me a skeptic but I somehow doubt his story on how he got out of jail.
Excellent episode, glad to have Thirteen back (
damn she looked good) touching story between the two, the POTW stuff was interesting but this is the second or third "hoarder" we've had. (There was the guy in the Euphoria Two-Part episode (though he was maybe more of a terrible house keeper) and it was said the woman with the good memory a few weeks back was a "memory hoarder" due to an OCD.
I still really like the friendship between Forman and Taub and it was interesting and surprising to see Taub now in a sexual relationship with his ex-wife (another good-looking woman this show has and who also enjoys wearing fuck-me boots which is always a plus.)
Masters the last 2-3 episodes has been more interesting and less annoying and I liked her here though I'm surprised that needed House's help to ask her about having a miscarriage and they quickly jumped from "found a baby outfit" to "can't get pregnant." Seems to me like "miscarriage" should be a stop between those two points.
This is also another in a quite a few episodes where they rule out an environmental toxin due to the patient not getting better/getting worse while in the hospital (when they should get better due to them being away from the toxin.)
There two patients in the past who were sick due to a toxin but got worse or didn't improve while in the hospital. One was a teenage boy who was sick due to a toxin released by termites living in his rooms. The explanation was that the toxin was fat-soluble and was released into the kid's body as he stayed in the hospital, not eating much, leeching the toxin into his system as his body burned fat for energy.
The other was a woman suffering from an allergy reaction but it was ruled out as she wasn't exposed to any allergens in the hospital and she still managed to get worse, turned out she was allergic to copper which was being released into her body through an IUD and recent exposure to copper cookware pushed her body over the threshold of it being a non or mild allergy to being a severe one.
So it's surprising to me that House's fellows (esp. Chase and Forman) and House
himself so easily dismiss toxins and allergies when the person doesn't improve in the hospital.
I agree it seems that Wilde's year on movie sets has caused her to bump-up to her A-game, not that she was bad before but when she can almost steal a scene from Hugh Laurie it shows her acting-chops have gotten sharper.
I never thought I'd say this, because Thirteen has never really clicked with me as a character, but after tonight's episode if she and House hooked up, I'd be perfectly okay with that.
Same here. In fact one could argue they're a perfect fit for one another.
