^Odd... that doesn't seem to be consistent with Zap2It's description for tonight's episode:

The team treats an ailing groom; House, Chase and Foreman visit a karaoke bar during a raucous night out.

And I know from last week's preview that the karaoke part is right.

But I'm hoping they're both right somehow, because it's been too long since we've seen House's therapist.

Yeah, I messed up and looked up the wrong episode.

Ugh, double screw-up. Not only did I post the wrong synopsis earlier, but the wrong episode number.

Feh.Whatever.

Damn good episode.

What an unsympathetic patient -- homophobic and afraid to admit who he was. It's like he and his fiancee didn't even realize this is the 21st century. And I liked that final line -- "I need to marry you!" That is, he needed to marry a woman to prove to himself that he was NOT GAY!!!!

And the fiancee was pretty dense too. He admits there was (allegedly) a single incident where he tried it with his roommate, and she goes, "You're gay?!" Hasn't she ever heard of experimentation? One variation from someone's usual behavior doesn't change one's entire orientation. (Although I imagine he was lying about it only happening once.)

I did love Thirteen's expression when the idiot bigot patient said "I'm as straight as any of you!" Terrific comic reaction from Olivia Wilde. And she was looking especially stunning today. I think it was the hairstyle; it framed her face superbly.

I wonder if there was any thematic significance to the fact that Chase was karaoke-ing a song with lyrics like "I'd rather live in his world/ Than live without him in mine." I'd think it would be easy enough for a male performer of that song to substitute "her," but Chase didn't bother.

So it looks like House is now resorting to the traditional approach to "feeling no pain." Great, he goes from a Vicodin addict to a drunk now. But how did he get into his neighbors' apartment anyway? Can you pick a lock if you're too drunk to tell which lock you're picking?

If you're House? Yes. ;)

Thirteen did look stunning tonight, loved her look in the club. The Karaoke scene was funny. And yeah, the POTW, and his fiancee, were both douches.

I wonder if Cuddy and Lucas are starting to go onto the outs?

The guys girlfriend was cute

This ep had a lot of funny little quirky moments in it, like Formans reaction when House said "you should be a doctor", and Thirteen's reaction when the guy said he was as straight as any of you, and the whole house going to drink the milk thing, there were a lot of funny little moments that made this episode great, it actually felt rather different than a regular house episode, almost like they hired in somebody to lighten the show up, I quite liked it

This was better than a lot of the shitty PotWs we've had this season. Granted, that's not saying much but I thought it was a good one. Great to see Dr. Nolan back next week. They've really ignored that plot.

Some nice emotional stuff for House. But the waking up next door bit was ridiculous and I am SO over Taub's infidelity story. Please let this be the beginning of his character's exit!

Yet both of those accurately describe the episode in question...

The guys girlfriend was cute

Daughter of Susan Sarandon.

She was on the most recent season of Californication as one of Hank Moody's three love/sex interests.

The guy's boyfriend wasn't bad looking either... :p

But yeah there were a lot of fun little moments in this episode that even through it followed the same basis as all the other House episodes it made it feel different. Plus I think they wanted to show House having a good time because he comes crashing back down.

I am SO over Taub's infidelity story. Please let this be the beginning of his character's exit!

Him and 13 did sign three year contracts to work with House in the hospital, they signed them in the fictional world and not the real world. However the creator seemed to have gone "Yeah we will get to that at some point (aka next season) but the finale will make you wonder if a certain character is going to be returning". So we can hope it's him or 13!

What was Taub's excuse for wanting to have dinner with House? I had to get up for a second during their dinner scene (right before House told Taub he texted his wife). It looked like House was guessing that it had something to do with Taub's infidelity.

I'm also getting a little tired of that plot. It's like his infidelity is the only interesting aspect the writer's chose to give the character. Although I suppose that's one more than they gave Foreman.
