From TV.com:

Wilson insists on treating the case of a friend and former patient, Tucker, who is suffering from paralysis of his right arm. However, he soon discovers that he can't separate his feelings from his professional attitude. Meanwhile, Cuddy tries to buy a new house.

House Medical Reviews

Man, that "meanwhile, Cuddy tries to buy a new house" sounds absolutely riveting.

Unless it's a play on words.

Doubtful since another description I read used the term "real estate." Sorry to burst your bubble. :p

It's good to post in these threads again. I finally caught up with the season the other. Already a great season in mind. Can't wait for more.

POTW is another asshole I can't care about so far. And Joshua Malina is suddenly looking so old! Maybe that's just the character being sick. He looked like such a kid on Sports Night...guess that was a long time ago.

"If you die, I'm alone." Oh, jeez! :wah: House and Wilson just kill me sometimes...

And he shows up at the operation anyway.Yup, POTW is an asshole. I knew he wouldn't really go back to his wife. Wilson wasted part of his liver on him. :p

Oh, Wilson is so bad sometimes! :guffaw: "She hurt my friend, she should be punished'!

Great episode.

I thought it was a nice off-concept episode.

I liked the Sherlock Holmes riffs. Wilson was, like Watson, trying to use his friend's methods. In one case -- Del -- it worked. In one case -- Tucker -- it didn't.

Another "Excellent" -which would be, I think, three in-a-row for me.

Very powerful episode that was off-forumla, though I loved seeing House's POTWs as they passed through the hospital, gives us a look at the chaos the other doctors live with with House around. Also nice to see how Wilson conducts his practice and having his own little "Aha! Moments."

The central POTW was an ass. It's one thing to ask if someone will donate a (portion of) liver, it's a whole other thing to guilt someone into doing it. Wow Wilson, wow.

So I guess House and Wilson are moving in together on a much more long-term basis? Does this mean Houses' 221 B is done for good? :(

But an excellent, excellent and powerful episode and I really liked seeing just how good a friendship House and Wilson seem to have, esp. in the montage with them chatting and laughing while Wilson was in recovery.

Excellent, powerful, good episode.

This week's episode rocked. Big time. I loved that it was a Wilson-centric episode.

I'm so glad I bought the first four seasons of this show when Amazon was selling them at $12.99. I'm looking forward to many a marathon! WOOT!

Neat. For one week, we get to see the show where Wilson is the star and House is a supporting character. But they really should've committed all-out to the concept and done up a whole alternate Wilson, M.D. title sequence. (Not that this show is ever going to change its title sequence....)

Loved seeing House's patients reduced to passing jokes. I bet they didn't even have coherent cases worked out, they just dropped in a bunch of random bizarre-sounding references like the tennis. By coincidence, I read about a case of "popcorn lung" just a few days ago, though the story's a couple of years old. I bet the House writers have been sitting on that one for a couple of years but never found a good story to build around it, so they used it as a throwaway here.

Yeah, I've heard about the "popcorn lung" a few times too, mostly aflicting people who either work in the factories where its made or in offiices where the stuff is popped all of the time. It would've made for an interesting central POTW storyline.

Wilson is a total pushover. Didn't buy his "doing this for a friend" thing one bit. Then again, how exactly do you refuse to save someone's life?

That would have been nice.

And speaking of popcorn lung... I'm laughing at that. "Popcorn Lung" just sounds funny. How does a person eat two bags a day for 10 years anyway? Or maybe I'm not the right person to ask. I eat chocolate every day. :o

I'm surprised Wilson lasted this long as a doctor. I think that's part of the reason why Wilson was House-like with Cuddy's moving plans. He knows learning from House's callousness is the only way he'll be able to stay a doctor without having a complete breakdown.

We will get a Chuddy episode in Febuary.

I thought it was pretty bad episode overall. Just didn't care what was gonig on.

This one was a hoot. I was irritated because House seemed to have regressed again but he came out in the end. Good stuff.

Anyone who thinks this episode is bad just just never watch TV again, this was a beautiful episode up there with the season's opening episode. Nice to see Joshua Malina again (big WW fan here) and Wilson how mean of you to buy the house for house  Speaking of House, I hope hes helping to pay for it.

Any one else see the Cameron reference ? I think it was after 14 minutes when Wilson was talking with House's team. The corridor outside the office went really empty and a blonde character looking just like Cameron when she worked down at the ER, walked by stopped and looked around (way too much happening for a background character and the camera shot) a clear reference to her put in by the writers. ;).

I doubt it was meant to be Cameron. Plenty of blonde extras in Hollywood.

Just shown it to my sister, and the background character seems to go out of her way to be noticed, Corridor goes empty after a bit of traffic camera pans into Wilson's face so you can see him and the blonde clearly, she stops and look around stalling for a second to prolong the shot bringing attention to herself, extras don't normally bring attention to themselves. I like to think the writers did that on purpose seen it in other shows in the past. It around 14:30 I think.
