So who would YOU cast as Ted Faro since this is set before the human race goes extinct in the game.

I'd cast Jude Law or Ewan McGreggor, and who do you think is the real life Ted Faro?

I'd heard Netflix was making a series, but I'd understood it would be animated, and perhaps by the same team that made the Witcher prequel movie.

I'm thinking Ben Mendelsohn would make a good Ted Faro. He's pretty good at playing a smug bastard

I'm thinking maybe Jessica Chastain as Dr. Elisabet Sobeck

For continuity, I'd probably keep Carrie-Anne Moss as Tilda van der Meer

and Anthony Carrigan as Travis Tate

(if this series were to focus on Project Zero Dawn)

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed they're setting this before the fall of civilization. I had just assumed this would be set in Aloy's era, even if they were doing an original story and not directly adapting the games.

Oh no for that we have the games, I am rather keen on this idea and to see what they do for the story pre fall of Earth.

From the info in the article, they said they thought it would have two timelines, ie before the fall and after, and that the timeline she's in wouldn't necessarily focus on her, but rather it would more likely be a cameo.

My choice of Aloy would be Jennifer Lawrence. She's kind of who I envision in that kind of role. Don Cheadle as Sylens. Maybe Sam Rockwell as Ted Faro. Helen Mirren as Teersa the High Matriarch. Maybe Nikolai Coster-Waldau as Erend.

Oh OK, cool. Most of those choices are pretty good, but I really can't see anybody but Lance Reddick as Sylens.

I picture Ted Faro as being a cross between Jeff Bezos and Activision's Bobby Kotick. In fact, I can imagine Faro releasing the Faro Plague with the intent to patch it's glitches later on (or sell the fix to the US Government as DLC)

Most people on the semi official Horizon Reddit say a mix of Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk or even just straight out say it's Elon
