I went to the library with my girlfriend and they had DVDs. So they have a television show area and I see Highlander season 3. The box looks like somebody stored it in a doghouse. It might have been run over by a car a couple times or put in a college students backpack and bashed against a wall repeatedly for a couple weeks. So I get the set anyway and take it back to her place.
I watched the first couple discs and had an occasional problem with it skipping a scene. Then I get to the ultimate frustration. Disc four has an episode with Anthony De Longis, who I always enjoyed as a badguy. The episode is called Blackmail. When I try to watch scene 5, starting in the garden maze, it just gets all choppy, but I got through it. Then I get to the glasshouse final fight scene and the whole thing just won't play without skipping every other second. I find seeing the evil, laughing Anthony De Longis getting killed to be extremely amusing, so It really sucks that it won't play(on two different players).
I think getting discs from the library, redbox machines, and netflix has really messed up both machines. Many times the discs won't play right. Only pristine discs that we own play properly. We got a DVD cleaner disc, but it didn't really help anything. Has anyone else had this problem?
