Homeland on Showtime

Looks good, has a 24 feel - the writer is from that show, so no big surprise there. Great cast - Claire Danes, Damien Lewis, and Mandy Patinkin (although I'm certain that's actually Stephen Spielberg :rommie:). This one is going to be twisty fun! Probably will air next spring at the earliest.
Plus it also has Morena Baccarin from Firefly, too:bolian:
:

And naked too!

I'll be in ma bunk.

Sorry couldn't resist

I just saw a billboard for this. A great cast, but I have to wonder how this premise has more than 12 episodes of life in it?

This is my take, as well.

Could make a good miniseries, but... a whole series? I don't know how they'll get a whole SEASON out of it.

Well, two episodes in and they're just setting things up. Some flashbacks have been mixed in along with some good character interactions. This could be great.

This is my favorite new show. I like the additions of the flashbacks and the active cases that Carrie has to deal with; they give the show more depth and illustrates somewhat how they could find more material than for just 1 season. Hopefully, they won't screw it up like Lost's ending. At least I think the writers of Homeland actually know whether Brody was actually turned.

Also want to repeat that the cast is excellent.

I'm watching, and it is good. But the latest episode really set the stage for it to become much more of a typical "24"ish spy thriller(maybe).

And since watching episode seven I can't decide if that is a good thing or bad thing yet.

I love it.
The only thing this show needs is a mole in CIA. You know it'll happen eventually.

I think it is pretty clear that either Saul, David or that low level flunky guy is going to be the mole that tipped off the bad-guys.

I'm leaning towards Saul at the moment because they are spending so much time fleshing out his backstory and it would be the most emotionally satisfying for it to be him.

But this show does like to throw curveballs, so who knows.

Knowing that this is a show from the guys who ran 24 for several years, Saul will turn out to be a traitor. It's Nina Myers all over again.

Did you notice that the first time Saul took the polygraph test it indicated he was lying when he said "no" to passing the captured prisoner the razor blade? He immediately jumped up and said he had to rush back to deal with the investigation so he didn't have time for the test, which of course bought him time to get in a more calm state of mind for the same question the next day.

Anyway, the last episode was fantastic, especially the discussion between Carrie and Brody at the cabin.

Polygraphs are not realy reliable.

There was an episode on the Wire pointing that out.

So that ending was maddening. No idea how they're going to continue next year. But then I said that about every episode this season, and I was always pleasantly surprised.

If Saul is right, and
Carrie really has no chance of getting back into the CIA
, then I'm really curious what the writers plan on doing with her character next season.
