Interesting one of the officers mentioned in the scene where Sisko and Odo are going over Leyton's officer transfers is Snowden..lol


Brock Peters reminds me of Dr. McCoy a little in this episode.

It echoes to me what happen in Brazil in the early '60 when the military took over the nation's government, "for the good of the people" of course.

The military held the government for nearly 21 years.

I think the whole of DS9 is very relevant and prophetic post-9/11.

They were always relevant. Those sorts of things unfortunately happen all the time in this world, as T'Girl reminded us. She cited Brazil as an example and there are many more examples that could be given.

I always really enjoyed this episodes. I would have liked to have seen more Earth stuff during the Dominion War, especially the Breen attack on Earth.
