    It'll be like the X-Files movie. The sub-title even fits better for DSC. ;)

    Why Star Trek 2009 was quite succeed? Because it was not our grandfather star trek. But Star Trek Beyond is actually our grandfather Star Trek.

    If they're having so much trouble getting another Kelvin timeline movie off the ground, just lol at the idea of a Discovery movie.

    Why? Disco is already in production and has a budget that is probably a tenth of a the Kelvinverse film (i.e. they don't have to worry about losing actors / directors). Plus, the target is TV, not cinema.

    I don't like the idea either, but don't pretend it's not in a position to actually happen.
