Home Improvement

I was watching Home Improvement, tonight. Robert Picardo made an appearance in a few episodes as a man named Joe. In Voyager's finale, "Endgame", we find out that the Doctor picked the name Joe for himself. Now, if the Doctor somehow got stranded on earth in the 1990s and posed as a man named Joe, could it be that Home Improvement was actually a spinoff of Voyager?

Reminds me of that bit I can’t remember whether it’s Simpsons or Critic.

“Oh no, I killed Wilson! I guess it’s back to jail for me!”

I'm honestly stunned it took till Endgame for you to figure this out. There are clues that Voyager takes place in the Home Improvementiverse rather than the Trek universe in just about every episode. This kind of cluelessness baffles me.

Though Janeway ending all her transmission with a grunt may have been a bit much.

I thought it was a little contrived to cover the bottom half of Chakotay's face with a piece of fence, but there we go. Only my opinion.

Though I did appreciate Tuvok playing the voice of friend and reason on the bridge and shooting down the captains occasionally silly suggestions with "I don't think so Kath."

Same, although it irks me that he was allowed to wear flannel instead of the standard Starfleet uniform. Seems implausible.

Also what's with people complaining about them pulling shuttles out of nowhere. It was like every episode we got a shot of them restoring a classic ship in the shuttle bay.

Remember the 'Man's Bridge'? Replicator in the captain's chair armrest for ice-cold beer without leaving your seat.

I could have dealt without the interminable season-long arc of Paris building his souped up Delta Flyer shuttlecraft and trying to rope the rest of the crew into his excitement though.

Also I've got to say I sometimes felt a bit sorry for Chakotay, having to put up with her ego. I mean did she have to start every contact with them beaming down to Harry Kim in some skimpy outfit introducing them and her going "I am Kathryn "the captain" Janeway before giving Chakotay some cruel nickname.
