I'm flipping through channels and Spike TV is showing Walker Texas Ranger. Right after he discovers film about recovered aliens there is an episode where Chuck Time Travels, at least according to the description. It is on right now!

The show is still in progress. I'm waiting for Chuck to kick a hole in the Time-space continuum. Maybe a Tardis will appear.
The story is shown as Chuck telling a story about a past ranger. The actors play the parts in the past too, but it sounded cool. I haven't been watching closely, but I saw his sidekick playing a blue coat Cavalry soldier in a flashback. There was also some sort of ghost ranger riding around in the present(maybe a signal to Chuck to regenerate).

I knew Chuck didn't travel back in time. Time travels to him.
Human beings dream of faster-than-light travel. Light dreams of faster-than-Chuck travel.
Light doesn't take 8 minutes to reach earth. Light gets here NOW when Chuck orders it.
In a later episode, he does swap places (conscious temporal displacement!) with his ancestor Cooper who was depicted in that flashback story...
Walker also rescues kipnapped kid genius from bad guys with the help of an AI, communicates with animals, ghost whispers often, can perform hypnotism, rescues Peter Parker from thugs, defeats evil Micheal Ironside, and oh yeah, his trusty truck takes a constant beating, yet regenerates in time for the next episode, with no one noticing...

Whoops! Looks like I confused the Hayes Cooper flashback episodes with another. My guess is it's a real person who's just a bit too literal.
