Continued good health.
*hugs* look at it this way: now there are 2 people more donating than would have before you asked your friends. Besides, the other 3 might perhaps do both: donate and give you a present.I have asked the few people I normally get and receive presents from to donate to ShelterBox rather of buying anything for me. Out of the five people I asked only two agreed to do so.
Dear Santa,
It's been a long time since I've written a letter to you. I haven't believed you exist since I was 10 years old and I am almost 30. But I figure, why not? If you can give me my wishes, it will be worth it.
So here's my list:
-- Could you put the spirit to give into the hearts of everyone who believe, and let it last all year long?
-- Could you give me an economy that serves everyone (in the United States)?
-- I want you to end the impulse for violence and hatred. I hope people can see past their own lives to embrace people that don't fit their standard of normal. I want people to stop killing each other when the get mad. I want genocide to stop in countries where they hate a whole segment of people.
-- Could you give me EDNA and marriage equality in Michigan?
-- Could you give homes to all the homeless?
-- Could you give healthcare to the people who really need it? Especially the mentally ill?
-- Could you give people who are facing a challenge they think they cannot handle (cancer, a divorce, raising a child, mental illness, etc.) peace and happiness, even if it's just for a day?
-- Could you make sure that people make memories they will cherish for a lifetime?
-- Could you give everyone an experience of compassion and love with the realization of it so they know how it feels and can pass it on to others?
-- If you can't end bad weather, could you make sure there's enough resources to help those that are victims of it?
-- Could you make people respect themselves and accept who they are, especially their bodies?
-- Could you end the torture of abuse?
-- Could you secure the health and well-being of those in caring fields like soliders, nurses, doctors, EMTs, police officers, teachers, and anyone else who makes it a little easier for the rest of us?
And if you can't do all those things, could you do at least one on the list? We really need it, Santa.
Thanks for reading and trying (in advance),
HaventGotALife
Why don't you just skip Santa and talk to God especially as Santa can't fit all that stuff in a sleigh?

I don't have much on my list this year, but I dropped a hint to my parents that I wanted a few of the Great Courses focusing on cooking and baking.
