Highlander remake on the way

Oh yeah it was the first contemporary band off the top of my head who I thought would be somewhat comparable to Queen. They've popped up in a lot of songs for trailers like say The Watchmen.

Ah... I understand the confusion - you are thinking of Muse who are an alternative/prog rock band from England, The Muse are an industrial metal band from Nashville, USA. :guffaw:

Yes, Muse would be good for a soundtrack.

Ohhh, haha yeah I didn't even know there was another band with almost the same name.

Check out the second track here:

I was thinking "what the hell?"

Gay is an adjective meaning "carefree", "happy", or "bright and showy".

Really? You aren't going to play the "honest I meant this old strict dictionary definition, honest!" game are you? Oh dear... at least have the courage of your convictions.

JarodRussell likes to troll, just ignore him.

I know who should play Ramirez!
Faran Tahir!
sure he's not Egyptian (Tahir is American) but he's a lot closer to 'egyptian' than Connery
plus he's a brilliant actor :D

It wouldn't be a Highlander film if they don't use the "Princes of the Universe" song to open the movie. They better have that.

I agree with that, it wouldn't be the same without it. I could live with a remake as long as Brian May sits in on guitar.

I don't see why they would want to use an 80s rock song that wasn't a hit in their movie at all. Not just to tie it back to the original, it's a remake, not a sequel.

Regarding May contributing, having heard The Cosmos Rocks I have extreme doubts about Brian May's ongoing ability to write decent rock music period. Best just to move on I think.

not using Princes of the Universe in a new Highlander movie would be like not using the Ghostbusters song in a new Ghostbusters movie.

I like a fair bit of Queen's music, but I didn't care for their songs in Highlander. A remake without them would suit me fine.
