About two years ago I had the idea to do a short documentary about Hidden Frontier. Rob Caves and many of the cast and crew were kind enough to allow me to record a series of interviews with them. As is often the case, life since has been rather busier than I hoped and for various reasons, regretfully, I haven't really done much with those interviews. Until now.

Presented here is the first part of a documentary about the grandfather of modern Star Trek fanfilms.

My intention is to continue working on this and to release it in instalments as time permits. And should anyone from HF be interested in recording additional interviews, by all means drop me a line and we'll work something out.

I miss these series. I wished they went back and either remastered them all, or switched to a cheaper to make animated platform.

Would be a great thing, even as a one off. Your documentary made me nostalgic. Hidden Frontier is a special show. I guess it would have to be up to 30mins though, in two parts, as per the guidelines? James Cawley, Carlos Pedraza and co we're working on a higher quality 'reboot' of HF with Rob a while back, before plans changed.

Not as talked about, surprisingly, as other Trek fan films though!

I don't recall Rob ever talking about that. I guess I either I didn't know about it or it slipped my mind. I'll have w word with the usual suspects, since It's probably something worth looking into.

A reunion isn't impossible, but a lot of things would have to align for it to happen.
