HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!! "The Goonies" 30th Anniversary

Sunday 7th of June was the thirtieth anniversary of "The Goonies".

Now THAT'LL make you feel old, huh?

We celebrated with some friends who are also massive Goonies fans by watching the documentary "The Making of a Cult Classic", the whole Cyndi Lauper music video and the movie with cast/Donner commentary.

It was GREAT revelling in the nostalgia and laughing along with the cast and director as they also looked back but had a good laugh at the film.

Alas, I just noticed that Mary Ellen Trainor, the actress who portrayed the mom died May 20th. She was just 62.

Well that sucks!

I always thought she was so pretty and was one of the ubiquitous '80's movie mothers.

She was also married at one point to Robert Zemeckis.

I still love this movie 30 years later.

So sad about the mom! Just in time for the anniversary.

Also- people quote this movie with "HEYYYY YOUUU GUUUUYYYSSS!" all the time without knowing where it originated. Not the Goonies, but The Electric Company!

It's kind of socially unacceptable not to like it, but I really don't.
