He's Out...He's In...He's Out...???

Geez, it's pretty clear that the guy's just apologizing for not being able to include him. Dunno what's ambiguous there.

He's only saying that because Shatner is totally going to be in this film. There is no doubt now.

Shatner will be in the movie. I hope it's as James T. Kirk, but I think it will be as an ancestor.

If Shatner is in this -- and I'm not saying that I think he is -- it will be in a scene similar to the scene in Ironman that came after the credits (I don't want to spoil Ironman for anyone who has yet to see it).

I can imagine a scenario where Nimoy's Spock goes back to the 24th century after helping Pine and Quinto defeat Nero and finds Shatner's Kirk alive and well, having somehow escaped Veridian III with Picard, perhaps with some information that Nimoy gives to Pine -- either wittingly or unwittingly.

His screen time could be all of 5 seconds or so, perhaps Spock naswering a knock at his door and finding Shatner's Kirk standing behind it, then...

...cue ending credits.

EDIT TO ADD:
People may say "but then they need to address this in the next film, to explain WHY Kirk is still alive". However I say why explain anything? It would be totally Abrams' style to show Kirk as being alive, then leave it up to the fans to figure out why and how.

I do think that would be a nice touch without spoiling the rest of the film

I think Shatner will be in the movie

All kidding aside, I'm beginning to believe that, too. And, based on the idea in the post above, it could work. There'd be no reason to address it in any sequels since they would likely take place in the 23rd century with the current cast.

...Kirk simply says, "Thanks, old friend," and Spock displays only the briefest hint of a smile. ...cue credits and Trek fanfare.

Let it goooooo :rolleyes::scream:
Considering that nearly every post you've made in this forum in the last few months has been to bitch and abuse people about what is essentially harmless fun, I'd say someone definitely needs to let something go.

It's already earned you one warning for flaming. Here's your free chance to drop it, now, before it gets you a matching one for trolling. Just leave it alone and go play somewhere else; you're clearly not here to discuss the movie.

My sources tell me that Shatner has multiple roles, he is playing the father of all the main characters (except Spock) in the movie. I can't wait to see Shat doing his Russian or Scottish accents.

I have proof that William Shatner will play James T. Kirk as an infant in Star Trek XI.

The idea is that the baby will age backwards, like Mork and Mindy's son.

You guys have missed all the obvious hints in the press, like how "Shatner has been acting like such a baby" whenever the topic of Star Trek XI comes up.

:guffaw:

I think there's just enough room for a tiny communicator in his hand.

Hell no, we won't go! Oops, got carried away in the moment... :klingon:

It made over $300,000,000.00 this summer. I think it is safe to say... everyone saw it. :guffaw: We can only pray Star Trek Zero does as well...
Seriously, I still think he's not going to be in it. If he were in it, hopefully in no way, shape nor form as Kirk. It is just not logical. :vulcan:
