Noah gets some unexpected visitors, while Claire arrives at the carnival as Samuel's plans progress. Elsewhere, Peter confronts Sylar and discovers that extreme measures are necessary to stop him.

Will we finally get the big Peter and Sylar battle that's been promised since the first season?

I doubt it since Peter is a limp fish now. Unless they try to pull off his absorption of Nathan's power as actually absorbing Sylar's powers.

There was a clip in the trailer of Peter stabbing Nylar with a syringe.

Yeah. Sounds epic. This confrontation will blow me away, as I expect it to be nothing but lame. It can only go upwards from that!

I dunno, A good story in the near future would be that Sylar is finally dead and Peter regains his abilty to have multiple powers. With Peter being the only super powered one left it leeds him down a road of corruption that the other heroes need to stop. To me, that would be better then Sylar's corrupt story because we now how much Peter has tried to be good in the past and that most of the other heroes like him alot making stopping him much harder. Peter may also feel very protective over his newly returned powers and may think people are trying to take them away like his dad did in 'villians'.

I guess Peter has to turn on the hatian powers as Sylar was able to throw him and shape shift before the fight.

is peter just stupid! how does he know its not sylar pretending to be Nathan? Also did he let up on the power blocking to alow sylar to shift to nathan.

that woz sad :(

EDIT: hey what happened to the Nathan's funeral? Kring said he'd get one in the final episode this year...

The show just needs to go away. It is just a sloppy mess.

I didn't buy Angela's "oh well" attitude regarding the failure of her Nathan reclamation project.

Claire' story time was cringe-worthy and something I'd expect the writers to subject Hiro to. I didn't buy Claire's sudden attachment to the carnies after a few hours strolling through their midway going so far as to refer to herself as part of the group. The angry carnival patron was a painful plot device akin to the redneck cops from earlier in the season that killed Jeremy. Claire buying Samuel's BS was dumber than her stealing the compass and going to the carnival to begin with.

If Nathan was going to sacrifice himself he should have killed himself while Peter was nearby so that the Haitian ability would prevent Sylar's body from healing. So Nathan's sacrifice meant nothing since Sylar gets right back up. D-U-M-B! Heck Peter could have used the mind erasing ability wipe out all of Sylar's memory leaving only Nathan's. And surprisingly there was a small amount of emotional resonance in the Peter/Nathan scenes because I was expecting none since this show is horrible at character development and rich character relationships that have depth and the audience invested. And I bet Sylar is kicking himself for not taking the Haitian's ability last year at Pinehearst

And did I miss something with regards to Lydia's about face or is she going along with Samuel waiting to take him down but isn't he suspicious of her after last week.

Below Average. Adrian shouldn't be hurt but happy he isn't on this declining show anymore.

I actually really enjoyed that episode. There was some rampant stupidity throughout...

-Peter clining to the belief that Nathan is still alive and not taking out Sylar when he had the chance.

-Claire falling for Samuel's garbage.

-Characters completely forgetting their other family members. Noah not mentioning Lyle and Not Nathan not mentioning his wife and children.

-Angela, after insanely clinging to the belief that Nathan was still alive as Sylar, suddenly trying to convince Peter that Nathan is dead.

But there was quite a bit I liked.

-Milo and Pasdar were quite good together. Since this appears to be the end of Nathan, it's a shame that one of the best actors on the show and most intriguing characters was so badly utilized after season one.

-Robert Knepper was excellent as Samuel tonight and really sold all the crap he was spewing. He continues to be the best thing about this season.

-The random Puppet Master cameo.

Nathan is still inside Sylar I would assume until Sylar's brain actually dies so he could still emerge I suppose. And Nathan's logic of being freed from fighting off Sylar is moot now that Sylar didn't die in the fall. Wouldn't Nathan fight back if Sylar was going to threaten someone or would he just let it happen? With Nathan it could go either way.

I have found Samuel and Knepper highly overrated. His character is one-note and episode after episode of the same thing has gotten old as opposed to the really great unsung "villian" of the series--Angela--who is endlessly fascinating to watch but has been terribly underutilized on this show. Cristine Rose is a gem.
-The random Puppet Master cameo.
That was something I forgot to mention in my earlier post--Claire seemingly having no problem with the man who put her through a psychological torture by threatening the life of Meredith and Sandra is all buddy buddy with him. Even worse was Kring acknowledging this incongruence by actually writing that scene where Gretchen asks her about Doyle and she laughs it off-WTF It wasn't like Doyle was under some kind of mental control when he did all of those things to her and her loved ones so she could write it off that it really wasn't him.

I really can't buy that Kring is that bad of a writer. He must just be jerking us around by writing this show as poorly as he can just to stick it to all the critics. "You think this show's crap I'll show you crap" I wouldn't be surprised if in the next episode Claire performs in the carnival riding a motorcycle that jumps a shark:lol:

Yeah, that whole thing is strange but then again, this show lost it a long time ago.

The show isn't on in my time zone but it sounds like the writers really brought their A-games to the table!

The bigest problem is TPTB not letting characters go. They just can't get rid of Sylar, claire, hiro etc.. Just put them in a big loop. No progression at all.

Now I could talk about how mind-numbingly dumb the HRG and his new love interest plot is: Let's introduce a new love interest in a flashback, erase her memory, bring her back in the future, and almost break up with HRG. Why? I don't know why.

Or I could say how annoyed I am with Peter and his stupidity: Someone explain to me why he thinks Sylar is Nathan? It just doesn't make sense at all. He should be flipping out at his mom. And really, he should've have killed Sylar once and for all with the nail gun.

I could mention how stupid it is to have the Haitian's ability turn on and off so that it suits the plot: Sylar landing on a car, then getting up. Sylar throwing Peter across the room, then shapeshifting, then his powers are all of a sudden supressed.

I could write what a stupid death Nathan was since he's ALREADY DEAD: They tried to write it so emotional, but instead it's laughable how Peter is so torn up when he kills Sylar. And really, since Sylar survived, what was the point of the whole battle anyway? Sylar just won't shapeshift into Nathan anymore. Big whoop.

I could whine about how pointless it was to bring Gretchen back last week only to have her leave this week after doing absolutely nothing: I also didn't like how at the beginning of the episode Gretchen wanted to enter the carnival and Claire all of a sudden didn't. Doesn't Gretchen remember Psycho Becky? Apparently she does since Claire even mentioned Psycho Becky and that didn't phase Gretchen. Then halfway through the episode, it's Claire who wants to stay at the carnival but Gretchen wants to leave. What had happened up to this point? They ate popcorn and watched a guy and a little girl throw balls at a stack of bottles. In a nutshell, nothing even close to big enough to have them flip viewpoints.

I can say a lot about this episode, but instead I'll just say this: Poor

The worst episode of the season. On the positive side, it has no where to go but up.

If 24 is on opposite Heroes in January, goodbye Heroes. If not, I'll keep watching Heroes for the amount of laughing I do during the episode. Yes, it's the best comedy on television.
