Awful, awful, awful writing aside, the cinematography and overall "feel" to the show is still pretty awesome.

Maybe the bad writing is souring me, but it seems like the "feel" of the show has gotten pretty flat as well. Every so often, the old feel comes back - the carnival scenes in this episode - but overall it seems like the budget cuts have hit the aesthetics as well as everything else.

Boy, I really stopped caring about this show. Where was Tattoo Girl's daughter when she died? Why wouldn't Parkman stick something Sylar's brain before walling him up? Or grinding him into parts and burying them all around the world? Also isn't this the first time "Nikki" has appeared since like the season premiere? Where did she disappear to? Whatever happened to Micah? Has he even appeared this year? Whatever happened to Micah's cousin? Why do characters just disappear without explanation?

^To answer some of your questions.

Sylar moved his "weak spot" with his shape shifting ability as Danko found out last season.

Chopping Sylar up might not work as Parkman might not be able to do it fast enough. Remember, Claire was even capable of regrowing a lost toe. Only decapitation would do it, at which point he'd have a genuinely dead body stinking up the place.

If by "Nikki" you mean Tracy Strauss (Niki Sanders is dead), one of the comics explains where she's been apparently. She's appeared in multiple episodes this season.

Micah was "Rebel", the person helping the people with abilities who were on the run last season. He's presumably back living with his family in New Orleans, along with his cousin Monica. The writers presumably just didn't have anything further for them to do.

I once saw a movie where the mafia dropped somebody into a giant meat grinder...
It's hard to believe sylar would come back from being a pile of hamburger...

Wolverine and the Hulk probably would... so why not Sylar?

Since Matt can control minds, here's the solution: have all the neighbors come over for a barbecue and have them cook and eat Sylar's corpse. If Sylar actually goes thru several people's digestive systems, could he come back to life after that? :rommie:

Wolverine and the Hulk probably would... so why not Sylar?

Sylar survived a fire (at least, long enough for the fire to melt the glass--or possibly just shatter under the heat--in the back of his head). Also, we have no reason to assume that decapitation would do the job. He might re-grow his body.

Parkman does the right thing and HRG is ready to take out Samuel, only to be thrawted by the stupidity of Peter and Claire.

Oh, probably. The 5 year olds hired as consultants on the writing staff will see to that!

To answer the general points about my response.

To use some sort of meat grinder, Parkman would have to have access to one and get a comatose Sylar to it.

Angela's dream in early season three implies that Claire would die if she was decapitated. That rule would also have to apply to Sylar.

that'd be easy.... just have matt go to the nearest rendering plant... he can mind spam everybody there thinking this is just another slab of meat to be thrown into the grinding process... and nobody would be the wiser...

This is the same show where two characters can fly half way around the world despite being on the most wanted list and having all their assets frozen. Access to a meat grinder is nothing. Hell, they could say Tracy has access to the space shuttle and that would be normal on this show.

Five year olds would improve this tired show. At least it wouldn't be painfully boring anymore. :p

True, but then you may as well say that Parkman could just use his magic pixie dust to make Sylar go away.

Besides, I don't think killing Sylar was Parkman's intention. Why kill him when you can make him suffer forever ?

We could let fifteen-year-olds write it. Then, at least we'd have explosions and car chases (and exploding car chases!) in every episode.
