So, we have Samuel setting up the assassination plot against him to make Noah seem like the villain to his loyal band of saps, not to mention get rid of those plotting against him. Wow.... Didn't see that coming. And how about Commando Noah? Real professional work, there, Chief. We also have Claire being her usual bratty, whiny self for.... reasons. We also have Peter coming in to try and free Sylar 'cause he needs him for.... reasons. After all of that, I'm surprised we didn't have Hiro involved in the episode to complete the circle of main characters who cause bad things to happen just by trying to prevent those same bad things from happening!

The contradictions, gaps of logic, and use of the idiot ball still don't equal the ones we saw in Volume 3 (the eclipse!) But they're getting there.

Let me guess: next week, Peter and Good Head Sylar team up to battle Evil Head Sylar... in, um, Sylar's head.

I am so sick of Emo Sylar and Dumbass Peter. The only person who actually did anything smart in this episode is co-ed Gretchen, who had the brains to tell Claire not to meddle and to just live the normal life she claims to want.

And then Claire promptly ignores her.

*facepalm*

If it weren't for my hubby's irrational desire to see this show all they way to the bitter end, I would have stopped watching this already. It's really starting to get on my nerves.

EDIT: I'm OK rationalizing that his desire to be special brought on by his crazy mother started to make him crazy, the realization of his powers fueled that desire by increasing his temptation so without powers he'd only be a little crazy. That being said, if the "real Gabriel" is the one before the powers and has just been trapped there, that'll definitely tick me off.
But the times we've seen the "real Gabriel," he seemed normal enough: future Gabe playing house with baby Noah and Sylar when the eclipse turned his powers off. They really missed the boat to depict Gabriel as a person who does want power and perhaps even sees his powers as something that enslaves him (which they really do) and who has a conscience, which sometimes he finds it more convenient to ignore. It should be One Dimensional Sylar vs Multidimensional Gabe, not One Dimensionally Evil Sylar vs One Dimensionally Good Gabe.

Let me guess: next week, Peter and Good Head Sylar team up to battle Evil Head Sylar... in, um, Sylar's head.

Yes, and then Sylar will be defeated, Gabe will take over again, and All Will Be Forgiven. Peter and Gabe will be bestest of friends! :)

I hope they do cancel the series after all. The fanfic writers can have a field day undoing all that crap.

Hey, you know there's no reason the boys can't meet up with Head Nathan in there. Nathan's "suicide" was no more final than the time Swoozie Kurtz had him killed and he reverted to Sylar, so there's no reason to believe Nathan is actually dead.

Above average (for this season) - anything would have been better than last week. But Parkman bricking up Sylar in his basement? That's like something out of Days of our Lives! Come onnn!

So this big huge battle between Samuel's carny supers and Team Noah (Sylar, Peter, Hiro, Ando, Parkman and Tracy?) will probably take place off camera while Claire and Noah are reconciling and coming to understand and appreciate one another better.

Probably. Though, I can see Samuel's people turning on him. Only a few of them seem particularly loyal to him.

Yeah, I agree. Will it be a "surrounded by a mob" death or will Ray Parks zoom about and slice him up?

Isn't that interesting... Noah's in the mirror room.... Ray Parks likes to kill people in the mirror room.... Samuel's now brain washed Ray Parks in to think Noah killed ray parks friend who is a girl (tatoo girl).... this can not be good for noah...

Above Average

I was pleasantly surprised with this episode. I actually liked it (the 3rd episode I've liked this season). Yes, Matt trapping Sylar in his basement behind a brick wall is kind of stupid, but the rest of the episode was pretty interesting and a little bit exciting.

Average - Hiro and Mohinder weren't in it, after all. :)

I'd like to see Sylar kill everyone character except Claire, with whom he has centennial immortal reunions. :D

I swear to god,...you people should come up with two different posts on this show. I found tonights episode rather exciting and except for a couple "little" glitches, I enjoyed it very much. I also admit I find this season more exciting than the last one, butt I also don't expect the writers' to script what I want. :vulcan:

I expect them to script what I want: something worth watching that doesn't violate basic rules of decent writing. :rommie:

There are countless potential plotlines that meet those requirements. But they don't seem to be capable of finding any of them.

I thought this one was decent... heading somewhere maybe. But yes, Parkman and Peter are stupid, stupid. What was it someone said.....

And as for DumbFuck Petrelli...he's just a dumbfuck that keeps doing dumbfucky things because he's a dumbfuck who gets dumbfuckier with every passing minute...

What a dumbfuck.

Yeah ITL, that sums it up! :D

A lot of people posting here seem to have grown to hate this show. I don't hate it but I'm wondering what kind of longevity this show will enjoy... will it be enjoyable to see again through reruns?

How many episodes are left anyway??

^Two more, I believe.

This episode's ratings were apparently so bad that not only was it last amongst the networks but it also lost to WWE Raw on USA and iCarly on Nickelodeon.

I could forgive the horrible writing, gaping plot holes, and character stupidity if it was at least entertaining. But it isn't. Dull, dull, dull. I'll get through the final couple episodes, but even if it gets picked up for another season, I don't think I'll be watching.

A pretty stupid episode, but it reminded me once again why I still like this show; I love stuff like the imagery when Peter hops into Sylar's head. Awful, awful, awful writing aside, the cinematography and overall "feel" to the show is still pretty awesome. And I do love the whoooooosh sound for quick camera changes or commercial breaks.
