I can't believe they're holding the back three until January.

It's been standard network practice for decades to take a break from airing new episodes during the holiday season, on the assumption that people are too busy traveling/celebrating/shopping/etc. to watch their shows, and to make room for holiday specials. Sure, it's a little awkward to do it 10 weeks into a 13-week season, but it's not surprising that they'd be taking December off.

It does seem that it wasn't planned this way, though, because Chapter 10 didn't really have that big a cliffhanger -- a bunch of people running across the lawn at Stately Parkman Manor? It would've been better to break last week, since that image of Miko awakening in the far future was a hell of a cliffhanger. Or to break before "June 13th" and save the big explanations for the back half.

my understanding was that Reborn ws originally conceived & even promoted (by the official Facebook page) as a summer limited series. but apparently the network liked it so much they upgraded to fall. the downside was thankgivng and The Voice.

Season 4 of Hell on Wheels was 13 episodes and they broke for a month before the final 3...and that airs in the summer.

That broke on a strong story beat, though...not really a cliffhanger, but something that made you want to see what happened next.

I'm sure I say the same thing every time. :)

There was a bit more to that cliffhanger than that. Noah was teleported away from danger, Miko and Nahan were teleported to who knows where. And of course every ep. of Heros and Heroes Reborn ends with to be continued.

We didn't see who teleported Noah. I wonder if Hiro is alive and empowered.

And we finally got to see the real Miko. It would be interesting if they are both alive at the end of the series.

I'm also wondering how much mass Nathan can move through time, and how far. If the problem is a solar flare, then moving the Earth a few hours into the future might be enough to avoid it. Maybe they're planning some gimmick where hooking him up to Erica's machine will temporarily give him enough power to do that.

Maybe Malina can channel the solar flare into Zachary Levi, and then he can blast it all out into a portal that Nathan opens that leads to the middle of nowhere in outer space.

Or maybe Nathan can take both Malina's and Zachary Levi's powers, combined with Hiro's power, control all three at once, and turn into a super over-powered evo who can save the earth.

Or maybe Phoebe can finally wise up and realize that she has the power to block the sun. Simple as that, problem solved, earth saved. (Maybe Nathan could take her power too.)

Nathan's power is basically an amalgam of Arthur's power and Peter's power after he was repowered by Mohinder's serum; he removes the ability permantently from a person, but he can only carry one power at a time.

I think there's a possibility that Malina and Luke's powers combined might avert the HELE. Malina's abilities haven't really been fleshed out, she's been shown bringing dead butterflies back to life, controlling the aurora borealis, pulling Luke out of the water via wirlwind/telekinesis/whatever, aparently making grass grow, and dispersing a giant storm. If I had to classify Malina's abilities, I'd say she has some kind of Mother Earth/Gaia ability for lack of a better term.

So, Malina uses her godlike powers to stabilize the planet, and Luke absorbs the solar flare with his solar powers. Not really sure how Nathan might play into it.

I really, really want to like Malina... but she's just coming off incredibly bland and lifeless. What is her personality? What are her quirks? What does she like or dislike? How does she feel about her grand destiny? About her long lost brother? Her dead/missing parents?

Yeah, she's been a cipher. Compare and contrast to Tommy/Nathan, who's really been pulling his weight on the show.

That's a good thought, too.

did you guys know heroes reborn is back this week?

did anyone really binge watch it?

it seems like the PR dept. gave up on it... i saw no promo on Comcast on demand .

i am looking forward to it, but maybe the only one.

Just saw on Wikipedia that it returns this week (01/07). I can't believe it has been that long since the last episode aired before Thanksgiving.

Same here. I don't have high hopes for a second season. Which is a shame, because this has been the best one since the first season.

I'm not even sure I care to watch the rest of it.
I'm not even sure it'll be ON, since the POTUS will be babbling the SotU on all the networks.

I thought those were on Tuesdays, while Heroes is on Thursday. I guess we'll find out.

Wish TPTB would've thought it through ...either started Heroes in EARLY Sept., or kept the Summer Plan. The Thursday date, while better than Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday (with direct competition), the Thanksgiving blip might have been OK...but a whole month???

Someone was thinking short term and NOT the bigger picture.

I had honestly assumed the season was over until I was looking through the week on the TV Guide app and saw that it was new. I've been really enjoying it, so I look forward to the new episode.

I shudder to think what the ratings drop will be...

I didn't bothering watching it, but I hadn't heard anything about it for a while, so I just assumed it was over.

I honestly haven't heard of anyone who has been watching it, aside from the few people here.
