Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

I'm not quite sure what to grade it right now... I'm gonna need some time to consider everything. I'm leaning towards Above Average --there was a suitable amount of tension and excitement for the most part, but as often happens in this show, a few things don't quite make sense when you really stop to think about it.

I realize the show hasn't aired yet in most places as I type this, but I can't resist. :p

Want to know who lives? Who dies? Can't wait another hour or so? :D Well then here you are:

Nathan is the one who bites it (it wouldn't really be a Heroes season finale without Nathan dead or dying, would it?). Sylar kills him. However, as some (like Temis, I think) have speculated, after Sylar is subdued, Matt works some mental mojo on him to make him believe he is Nathan. He takes Nathan's form, and it seems to work. I'm curious to see where they go with this; plus there are a number of ethical implications inherent to the situation, especially considering only Angela, Matt, and Noah know about it.

One has to wonder, though, did they all forget about Claire's magical healing blood? Couldn't that have saved the real Nathan? It's one of those plot points that boggles the mind... Sure, dramatically it would be too easy, but they made up the rules of their universe -- now they're just going to ignore them when it suits their purpose? Bah.

Oh yeah, no one else dies. Danko is presumably still in custody after this episode ends, Hiro's powers haven't killed him (yet)... and it seems Tracy is indeed still alive. It appears her powers include being able to turn into water and reconstituting herself. And judging from the preview for Volume 5, it looks like she's out for revenge.

More on this later, after everyone's watched it.

this is why Im glad I read spoilers,
now I wont be absolutely devestated when I watch this. How disappointing. Really disappoining. None of his loved ones even get to mourn him. And he's gone... period. Sylar thinking he's Nathan isnt Nathan. Who are they trying to fool? What bullshit!:klingon::scream:

Well...
Angela does get to know, although she seems to be in state of denial about it. I think she desperately wants to believe that, in some way, it is still essentially Nathan, even when she knows it's not.

I think I really hate that woman now. Disgusting.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

This is the awesome part. It appears that Sylar is truely invincible. Ha, he shifted his brain around like someone said in last week's thread.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

Yes, that was a pretty good setup.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

I give this episode an Excellent. By no means was it perfect, but it was entertaining enough.

I thought it was an interesting way of killing off a character but keeping the actor around. But a couple of weeks ago, some posters including I think Temis, predicted exactly what would happen, so I guess it was a little obvious.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

So can Sylar morph clothes now too or something?

"Well everyone needs a hobby." lol

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

That was gruesome yet so cool. Hopefully that's the end of Nathan!

Oops, my condolences melancholymecha.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

So everyone sad for the loss of Nathan can blame everyone that didn't kill Sylar when they had the chance.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

Finally you did something smart Peter? They've ruined his character.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

Too bad they didn't kill off the actor playing Nathan as well. Or perhaps now I might care a wits about him (boy I hate his character).

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

So no what happens when Peter touches Nathan.....

He should be getting a lot more then just the ability to fly....

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

No no no no no. Let the dead stay dead.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

Wow, isn't this almost exactly what happened in Exiles where Proteus was mindwiped to think he was Morph.

Re: Heroes 3x25 "An Invisible Thread" Discuss and Grade (SEASON FINALE

Sylar's personality is not going to stay buried forever I bet.
