Interesting. None of these powers explain to me how he was able to move from the back of the Hunter's car to the top of the building in what appeared to be seconds, or his mysterious appearance in the car in the first place. I wonder if he's picked up powers we haven't seen, or if those moves were just supposed to be Sylar being clever and very quick.

My guesses would either be telepathy (i.e. he wasn't really ever in the car, he just made Danko think he was - but then he wouldn't have had so much trouble tracking down James Martin) or some sort of time manipulation like Hiro has. Daphne-style super-speed would have been noticeable, we still would have seen the car door open and close.

do you guys think HRG, will potentially risk, "reviving" Sylar by removing the knife from his head, to see if it is really him or not?

^I think that's exactly what he's going to do. No way does he buy that Danko took Sylar down alone.

I think Noah will do that eventually. I didn't believe for a second that Noah was fooled aftering seeing the dead body. After Noah figures it out we can have our awesome Noah vs Danko fight to the death.

Someone up thread mentioned using the DNA database to check for a positive ID. That sounds a little smarter than potentially reanimating a dead Sylar. Probably wouldn't happen that way. Dramatically pulling the knife out of the back of his head makes for better television.

I voted above average. I really liked it.

I'd like to be able to say that the show is getting back on track (it certainly seems that way), but I don't want to speak too soon. Lets see how the rest of the season goes first.

Otherwise, a very good, character driven, episode! :techman:

I feel like sending Bryan Fuller a bouquet of flowers and a nice card. :rommie: THIS SHOW IS WATCHABLE AGAIN!!!! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou. Everyone tell all your friends who understandably bailed that it's safe to come back.

Very nice character moments. Peter and Nathan are back to their old selves. The damage to Nathan will take more time to repair, but the repair job is well underway. Angela's more fascinating than ever. Even Claire is far less dippy (and how sad that she'll never ever ever be able to get drunk :().

Sylar and Danko are a lot of fun, too. I was hoping they'd go with the "very sketchy alliance" angle and I got my wish. Danko is a moron of the first order if he doesn't realize that Sylar now has the perfect opportunity to take his place as the gumbint's prime mutant hunter but anyone as obssessed as Danko is bound to have a fatal blind spot like that.

Great stuff with Sylar teaching Danko how to hunt metahumans. Very smart writing - that's all stuff a guy who's been at it for years should know. Finally we have a guy in charge who can make sure the characters not only are not written as idiots, but actually pretty clever on occasion.

I was going to give this one Above Average for just the character stuff when they kicked it up to Excellent by giving Sylar one of the two scariest powers he possibly could have (the other being mind control). Now only Matt has the power to stop him, and only if he knows he better be scanning everyone at all times. Since Sylar is now "dead," poor Matt won't have a clue.

But that's my prediction - there will be a scene where Matt reads Peter or Mohinder's mind and gets a nasty shock when he realizes there's someone else in there, someone they all know. Matt can stop Sylar cold via mind control and then kill him if he knows the right place for the knife (does he?) Other than Matt, everyone else is helpless against Sylar. Peter better forget this flying nonsense and adopt Matt's powers permanently - those are by far the most useful set of powers, capable of detecting a shapeshifter and inducing him to commit suicide.

This is going to be great paranoid fun, worrying about who isn't who they are supposed to be. :rommie: It's like the good old days with the Dominion! Yay shapeshifters!

Or just steal the body, store it in his basement (while keeping Mr. Muggles out), and wait for it to decompose enough for the knife to fall out, to see if Sylar revives on his own. I've been curious about that - apparently you can be blown apart or burnt to a crisp and come back if you have healing power, so what's a little decomposition between friends?

ok Im blanking out, what exactly is clairsentience & imprinting?

Clairsentience is the ability to know the history of an object just by touching it. The only time we have seen Sylar actually use this ability was when he found his old toy car in the abandoned diner and that told him what had happened that day, the day his father gave him up and murdered his mother.

Imprinting is a fairly trivial power, it basically just turns a person in to a human laser printer. Effectively they can just put their hand on some paper and make words appear as if they were written in ink. For example, say you had a batch of cheques that needed signing - you could just touch the stack and they'd all be signed. Theoretically, I suppose you could use this to make perfect forged documents.

In the stills I saw from her upcoming movie, her hair is medium length (and her cleavage was seriously on display).

For you to bring that up and not follow it up with a link or pic is wrongidy wrong wrong.
It was on a website owned by a company who requires a password. And, unfortunately, I lost my job on Tuesday so I can't re-access it. :(

Until they're in wider release, here's an old pic of her being kinda hawt.

thanks...I dont even remember when he got these.

^He got Clairsentience from Bridget Bailey in "One of Us, One of Them" while he was being held by Angela Petrelli. She was, effectively, food.

He got Imprinting from a man named Joe Macon in a comic story called "Out of Town... On Business". He has never been seen using it in an episode.

From Ausello:

Question: Any news on Heroes? Maybe something on the season finale? --Dennis

Ausiello:
Sylar kills a regular Hero that's been on the show since Season 1. And it sticks.

I get the feeling a lot of people think it's going to be
Peter
but it would make a lot more sense story-wise for it to be
Angela or Noah, or perhaps even Ando or Mohinder.
