Well, I finally had my flag made what do you think? This is the best shot i could get while actually on the flag pole. If anyone wants a better shot , I can take it down for a better one.

Sorry, this is a one and only.

I bought the plan blue flag on line and then brought a picture of the flag to a shop in the town where I work that does screen printing. 3 weeks later, here it is.

I did my own UFP flag back in the day with fabric paint and blue material (can't recall what kind). The first one went up in my side yard (I was a kid) on an old rusty TV antenna pole I scrounged from a trash can. It was based on the movie-era Federation logo. The latter one I did was based on the TNG era logo, and was only meant for indoor use on a stationary display pole. I also made one small shoulder-patch flag for a space-suit mockup I was working on. It was probably the best one I did, quality wise.

This is the kind of thing I would have done if I had the resources, except I would have not printed the words on the flag. That's a personal thing. It looks really good, though, and I hope it is sturdy enough to give you several years of enjoyment.

It should be Sturdy enough. Hopefully. The company does flags all the time. I donn't think it will be outside long though, just in case.

That is a very cool flag and it is indeed inspiring to see it flying in "the real world."

They used to sell a full-sized UFP flag at Star Trek The Experience, nicely screen printed on good, sturdy material, but it had Paramount copyright information on it. The printing was small, but still it spoiled the realism of the thing. I haven't seen it there for at least a year so perhaps they sold out.
