And Hercules has a wonderful episode that took place in modern day, where studio executives were planning a show (I think a "Hercules" show), and it had a funny moment where they are all in the bathroom, backs facing us, using hte wall urinals and they all end up humming the Hercules theme.
Season 4 had an episode which was about the writers of the show and their inability to come up with anything good. It was just crazy.
Does Hercules have one of those episodes where the show finally finds its footing? I'm on episode 3, and I'm actually enjoying it in a goofy, bad-acting, Season 1 kind of way. I think most shows struggle through that in the beginning; when does this change for Hercules?

Lucy Lawless fractured her pelvis while taping a segment for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and episodes had to be reworked to accommodate her recovery; Lawless later joked that she (Xena) was "in other people's bodies for weeks!"
^Much appreciated!
I've watched the first 4 episodes. I'm enjoying it, but it's not grabbing me like I want it to. I might need to find a secondary show to watch when in between episodes.
Let me ask, are Hercules and Xena like Buffy and Angel were with crossover episodes? When I get to that point, should I alternate between Hercules and Xena? That's how I watched Buffy and Angel, and I definitely think it paid off more than it would have had I watched them separately.
Anyway, Hudson Leick did a really amazing job imitating Lucy Lawless's Xena delivery. They both did a great job playing each other in the body switch episode, but Leick was just uncanny in both of the episodes where she played Xena.
Okay, I'm gonna have to try to use that in a sentence now.ahistoricity
There is also a story where either Herc or Xena are present at Christ's birth. Either they are the Three Wise Men or they guide the wise men or something.

I could be wrong, but I think that was actually an Iolaus-centric episode of HERC.
I wouldn't say that. Yes, they were both Bruce Campbell characters, and that means they had certain traits in common, but they were hardly the same character. Autolycus was a thief with a heart of gold, while Jack was a US secret agent-cum-masked hero. And I found Jack of All Trades to be a thoroughly dreadful show.
