What do you suppose his deal was?

I mean, it's frickin hard to get to this Island, especially if Jacob doesn't help you out. How did Henry Gale get there, and what was his purpose? I feel like his story could be a neat little vignette.

Who's to say Jacob didn't help him out? I think he was probably brought to the island by Jacob like everyone else.

It would fit the show nicely if MiB killed him, but I think it's probably more likely that he fucked with The Others and they killed him and buried him.

And that's how Ben knew enough to impersonate him.
