Help with obscure request for tracking an 80s Starlog Magazine issue

Does anyone out there remember Starlog Magazine? If so, how far back? I have a question, because I am trying to track down a particular issue of Starlog Magazine. This is is very obscure, and I would be very surprised if anyone here will be able to help.

Anyway, I used to read Starlog in the late 80s. I remember reading a particular issue that I believe had 2 different things in it. I think these were both in the same issue, but I could be wrong. I am not sure when it was printed exactly, but I can say that I have most of the issues from 1987 and 1988, so I believe it would be a 1989 or 1990 issue.

First, it was a page, maybe 2, of a mini comic without dialog or captions, and only pictures. It was black and white, and it depicted the Enterprise A going forward in time, and meeting the Enterprise D.

Another segment was black and white pictures of a model developed by someone. It was a conceptual rendition of an enterprise, that was several versions after Enterprise D. The reason I am kind of interested in finding this is because I remember it resembling a cross between the Enterprise A, and what the Enterprise E ended up looking like, particularly the Warp Nacelles.

I know that is obscure, but any help would be appreciated! :)

No I hadn't. thanks! At least that is a start, but missing 1989-90.

I have a stack of Starlog's that date up to 1990 I think. Trouble is they're 5 provinces away from me and I won't be able to look at them until Christmas.

I think I remember that comic though, but I do remember a side view of an Enterprise with Excelsior style warp engines and some other changes, sent in by a fan. It was a drawing though, not a model.

Although this was probably not the sort of thing they usually covered, don't forget Future Life magazine, which was, I think, a sister publication to Starlog that ran briefly in the '80s.
