I think I'm going to buy an MT3-ER32 Shank-Type Collet Chuck and some ER32 collets and stash the rest.
Heh, I used to have something very similar to that holding up my bookshelf. It was one that was scragged by a coworker who subtracted instead of added.
You should've seen the drill.

Points for even knowing what it is. :D Those kind of mishaps are very common in machine shops.

My favorites center around "senior workers" trying to impress nOObs with their 30 years of experience... Only to blow up something delicate and expensive. :guffaw:

Fair enough. I just remember coming home from my transplant and there being a hundred little things that needed to be handled.

That's what I hesitate to just up and waste it despite my instructions to do so.
I didn't mean to imply that you should bank it all. Like I said, I just remember a lot of minor expenses coming up unexpectedly. For example, I lost 40 lbs while I was in the hospital, so when I came home I needed new pants and jeans. Nothing major, just a lot of nickle and dime stuff. The kind of thing you probably don't want to be calling your father in law over.

She is quite "squishy" under normal operating conditions... love of fast-food is one of the things we have in common. Every time I visit her I take her up a pile of fast-food and she inhales it... but yeah for the most part she's becoming less squishy... That means wardrobe replacement/upgrades.

On top of that, pants modifications may be called for. Do they make one-legged pants? She's not a skirt-wearer. :D

Glad it's going well Pleco, and the two of you still have your humour (well, I can see you have yours - I'm hoping she still has hers!)

How long is she going to be in hospital for?

Upwards of six weeks, less if everything continues as it is now.

Then she goes back in after a few months to be prepped for her bionic conversion. Apparently this operation has to heal, and then they will determine the best option for her situation.

Currently they are thinking 1TB ram, Linux Mint, big-ass solid-state drive, nuclear photo-cell battery, chrome neon-purple with the Verizon logo. :D

...her sense of humor is MUCH WORSE than mine, I can't repeat some of the jokes she's making. :)
