HELP ME PICK A GAME?

GalaxyClass1701

Captain
I have a ps3 and a 360 I only really like shooters and some limited open world. I love Bioshock, Halo, Gears, and Resident Evil and stuff like this.

Every game I have tried recently has been terrible Please recomend something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was amazing IMHO and I've heard nothing but good things about the DLC too. It's less of an RPG/shooter like the original and more of an FPS with a simple upgrade system, but then that's gaming these days.

Do you need to play the original to play this?

A few of these titles will branch out somewhat from the shooter focus you expressed, but most are either shooters or similar enough that I thought they were worth mentioning. I did feel the need to include a couple RPGs, though...

Multi-Platform Titles

  • Batman: Arkham Asylum (and sequel, Arkham City)
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • The Darkness
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • Dragon Age: Origins (and expansion, DAO - Awakening)
  • Grand Theft Auto IV (and expansions, The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony - might be less expensive to buy those in the GTAIV: Episodes of Liberty City pack)
  • L.A. Noire
  • Mafia II
  • The Orange Box (Half-Life 2 and Episodes One & Two; Portal; Team Fortress 2)
  • Prince of Persia
  • Red Dead Redemption

Xbox 360 Exclusives

  • Alan Wake
  • Fable II (and sequel, Fable III)
  • Mass Effect Trilogy (yes, 2 and 3 are available on PS3, but console-wise 1 is only on 360 and who thinks of the trilogy as anything but Xbox games?)
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction

Seconded, absolutely brilliant game.

Nope, this is essentially the "original" game in the series as it is set 25 years before the original Deus Ex.

I have played the what I bolded all good games. I didn't give Mass effect enough of a chance so perhaps I will try that again.

^ Never gave up on it myself but I totally agree with giving it another shot.

Me, it's a PC trilogy. ;)

Heh, I knew someone would chime in with that, but each time over the past several years that I've heard sales numbers mentioned for the trilogy, the Xbox numbers have surpassed other platforms by a significant margin.

My assumption, then, is that the overall gaming community probably thinks of it as an Xbox title first. I could easily be wrong, of course, and I've never bothered to actually look into those numbers myself.
