Hell's Kitchen! YEAH!!

I love this show, and its back tomorrow (thursday) night..I think CHEF RAMSAY is cool. In fact, if they redid HAWAII FIVE-0, that dude is Steve McGarret, and yes..I'M FRICKING SERIOUS...

Anyway, I love the Kitchen Nighmare show, but HELLS KITCHEN is his best show...I love watching him get in their face. And the best part? He doesn't care if they are Black or white or mexican..oriental..he is an equal opportunity yeller...

Go get them chef...best Brit import since Simon Cowell...

Happy to see HK back. I can't stand Kitchen Nightmares. It reeks of Fox's Tampering on so many levels.

The BBC version is far better.

God Thursday Night is going to be way too busy. Hell's Kitchen, 30 Rock, the Sharks usually playing a Hockey game. I was halfway thinking about skipping out on Hell's Kitchen this year, but then again, I could always see 30 Rock online I guess.

I have such a man crush on Gordon Ramsey, love that guy.

His English produced shows are waaaaaaaaaay better than the American produced ones though.

Gordon Ramsay isn't on the BBC, he's on Channel 4.

His energy and passion are addictive and frightening.

I don't think that American TV producers and audiences fully appreciate his attitude and I think the US version of Kitchen Nightmares is badly edited so you don't see so much of what he actually does with the chefs.

He (and his researchers) do more to understand the area a restaurant is in than the idiots who run it. Plus, he keeps it simple, while they restauranters seem to overcomplicate.

Hell's Kitchen US is probably more compelling from a British POV than the UK version because, A) Ramsay's not in it anymore and B) The culture clash works so well - they don't expect to be worked so hard!!

P.S. You can keep Simon Cowell, he wouldn't know good music if ... make up you own witty ending! He's only interested in feeding the masses with lowest common denominator pap!

However, the dryness and directness of his sarcastic delivery is pretty alien to the uber-positive US audience. I hate what he does but I tend to support what he says because some of the contestants on his shows really think that they can sing and Paula Abdul would tell them that they can if he wasn't there!!

Im not sure what you mean..Chef Ramsay is still on KITCHEN NIGHTMARES here in America, and he is still on Hells Kitchen..

Does the American version get edited, yeah they do. But, as an American, I think it still does a good job. Is it FOX/FLossed over? Maybe...but I still get amped up each time I watch it...

I am going to Vegas later this year, taking my wife to see BARRY MANILOW, and I am going to plan it when Ramsay is there. According to reports he will be at his new place for about a week or so, and will sign autographs and take pictures for a charity he is into in Vegas....Would like to meet the dude. Would NEVER want to work for him, but I do respect for what he does...good TV

Sorry, I meant he's not in the UK version of Hell's Kitchen anymore.

I just feel that the editing of the US version of Nightmares has less cooking. For example, I can't remember him taking the chefs out to local markets to source cheaper, local produce. I'm sure he has, maybe it's just my memory.

Would love to go to one of his restaurants!!

Have you ever seen the UK version of The Apprentice? Similar feeling when one watches it.

As this is a Trek site, the difference in US and UK TV is the difference between Star Trek and Blake's 7.

The Problem Is That Usually American Shows have a huge budget, loads of clever editing and effects ETC and the show sometimes gets lost amongst it all, where as in the Uk we have a good show but it looks so low budget lol.

I love Hells Kitchen, I watch it every season as well. I also agree that the UK versions are better, the UK Kitchen Nightmares is 100x better than the US version, though I still watch the US versions. So yeah, I've seen both shows US and UK versions, and I watch it all.

Is there a way to see the UK version of Hell's Kitchen? I'm curious as to the improvements, other than it being uncensored of course.

Don't know about you guys, but I wasn't impressed with any of the people this round. I haven't seen anyone I want to support yet or anyone that even looks interesting. I absolutely loath FOX's editting of the show.

I had to give up on the American Kitchen Nightmares. It's the same fucking shitty episode every single time. He fights with some dummy who doesn't listen to him, then he redoes the decor, makes everything a fresh, local menu that is simplified to a single page. Then the dumb owner sees the light. It's so over the top and fox fake. Can't stand it.

Love the other shows though.

Show was interesting. Meh.

It does seem these are the "more qualified" cast they've had yet but, man, were they made of fail.

I loved it when the "power went out."

Been a fan of Hell's Kitchen since it's first US season and introduced me to Gordon Ramsay and yeah I've got to admit a man crush on him. The first episode was pretty good and the power outage was suspicious...lol. If any of you have the time you should go check out his autobiography that was out in 06 I think, a very interesting read indeed and you get a better insight into how he became the man he is now, like most people he's led an interesting life and been through a lot. I agree that his UK shows are a lot better series than what Fox produces. I especially love the F Word...

I have to agree with Kitchen Nightmares is a better show. It has a more personal feel to it as Ramsey is trying to improve a restaurant. The transformation seems more poignant then Hell's Kitchen since it is in a shorter time frame.

I vacillate between loving and loathing Ramsay's affected spitting out of food he doesn't like, it's so over-the-top, the food isn't just bad, it actually offends him.

I knew that woman was doomed when he found out she gave cooking lessons.

Yeah, I think especially if you saw the UK episodes first it is really hard to watch the American version. I have similar feelings about the Iron Chef USA.

That one chick who almost quit in the first episode just needs to go home, she doesn't have what it takes, what a whiny girl, if she can't even make it through the FIRST prep, she needs to just go home.

Not really too excited about this set of chefs yet. Thought they would actually have a decent service after the signature dish, but it's really about working as a team and until these people do, they will suck.
