Hell's Kitchen Returns

Petroza had it together in the kitchen. Christina sounded weak, and had no motivation.

But Christina, being young, can be better and more eaisly "groomed" by Ramsey. Pertoza's style, to me, doesn't fit Ramsey's, so I'd say, for him, he made a good choice even though it seemed to me that Petroza did better during the service.

But, congrats to both of them.

Petrozza was the better chef, and ran the better kitchen, but I can see Ramsay's point in choosing the young-and-easily-groomed Christina. I'm sure he has more talent spotting potential than I do, and maybe this time the winner will actually stick with the job and Ramsay and take full advantage of the opportunity she's been given. Still, I'm disappointed... the only person I disliked more than Christina was the horrible Jen.

My urge is to blame Jen for Petrozza's downfall (I cannot believe he picked her. I think Matt would've fallen in line better for Petrozza than he did for Christina). Jen was just pathetic tonight with her delusions of grandeur thinking she'd prove to Chef Ramsay that he'd made a mistake in eliminating her, her gall in asking for a letter of recommendation ("I, Gordon Ramsay, hereby recommend that you not let this donkey, Jen, anywhere near your kitchen under any circumstances!"), and her general pissy attitude. Did you see the snotty, bitter look on her face right before the winner was revealed? And she just stood off to the side during the party.

I felt so bad for Petrozza at the end... you could tell he was crushed. I hope Ramsay offers him a line job somewhere... he may be older and not as easy to shape, but he deserves better than a ticket home (and I guess a free vacation in Dubai, which we never saw even though it was awarded last week).

Ah well... good luck, Christina... and make the most of your incredible opportunity. Don't just take the money and run!

Yeah, Christina was terrible. I'm sorry, but she had no charisma in the kitchen. Her blonde friend was much better in the kitchen than her, and she got kicked off a week before.

Petrozza's first finale mistake was in not picking Corey for his team. He should have taken her, Christina would've taken Bobby, Petrozza would've still gotten Ben, Christina would've still picked Louross, and then Petrozza should've taken Matt and stuck Christina with Jen. Matt would've gotten behind Petrozza better than he did for Christina, and Jen would've done all she could to sink her.

And I hope that is the very last I ever hear or see of Jen Whatsherface again. The show suffered with her on it -- this season was lackluster and the finale did not satisfy as it usually does. But Jen, you really need to turn off that obnoxious, winey voice of yours and go away

The finale pretty much epitomized this season as a whole, inconsistant with a lot of weak links that shouldn't be in the kitchen. I'm not taking anything away from Christina or Petroza, who were both really good this season, but with the likes of Matt and Jen, they brought thier teams down and if I would never hire them for anything if I was running a restuarant. Maybe Matt was in "character" and he is different in real life, but acting this way what did it serve? As for Jen, god she was intolorable more than usual last night. Letter of recommendation?

As for the two finalists, I think Ramsey made the right choice. Christina is younger and has a lot to learn. However, she was consistant this entire season and as for chrisma, I disagree. She ran the kitchen well, knew what to do, and had more ups than downs. Petroza was great too and I wish the best for him.

I'm not sure picking Corey would've been a good idea. Corey was rooting for Christina. With Corey on P's team she might of sabotaged him in-order to better ensure a Christina victory.

if it;s going to marketed to the typical geographically challenged American, it would be -- The wacky dude and that ferigner...

Matt was hilarious. He and Jean Phillipe should get their own series.

It'd be like a really awesome Odd Couple!

The wacky American and the stuffy British dude!

Or, "the British dude."

To prevent redundancy. ;)

uh... are you gents referring to the Belgian??
I swear, only on a Trek board could someone with a French name be thought British.

For the record, I knew he Belgian. ;)

I was just making a joke. ;)
