Hell's Kitchen returns tonight on Fox, supposed to be filler for the writer's strike which ended sooner than thought.

Looking forawrd to it, be sure to watch. DONKEYS!

I'm going to check it out, never seen it before but I've recently become acquainted with Kitchen Nightmares so I'm going to check out Ramsay going at it. Does he changes out of his shirt and into chef outfit in this one?

I missed Top Chef's return but luckily Bravo plays the crap out of the reruns so I'm all caught up now.

Usualy Chef Ramsey is in his Chef's coat for the whole episode and doesn't change. Sorry. No Ramsey beffcake for the ladies in this show.

I like Ramsay on BBC America, but I really can't get into Hell's Kitchen. It's like Fox spikes his drinks with pure Hulk anger juice.

/Which is NOT fine, locally sourced produce!

Oh, that was great stuff.

Loved every minute of it.

But where's Marrianne? (The usual Gril's Team Souschef.) Who was this other woman? She seemed far too timid.

I watched it tonight...is it just me, or does this season seem more fake and planted with dummies than usual. I know its no Top Chef but sheesh, this crop is awful...pure reality show bullshit.

More than usual? I don't know. It always seemed fairly fake at the begining to me and as it wears on the donkey-plants thin out and the "true" people stand out more.

No way could they get rid of Black Gordon Ramsay on the first night. And are these shows mandated by law to have at least one mohawked contestant?

So I guess this would be what Tom Collichio refers to as "Top Cook"? If ever wanted to work in a restaurant I think these shows would scare the bejesus out of me. Though I'd love to eat in a restaurant with an open view of Ramsay yelling at the kitchen. :)

I've seen the one where Gordon went to America to help out some failing businesses. :guffaw: Some of those people should have never been allowed to buy or run a restaurant.

I know that fox doesn't just didn't pick pretty people to cook but man some of the cooks need a bag over their head lol. They look even more worse than last years group. My mom commented

"They sure have a bunch of rough people"

Yeah. This is the uggliest bunch of contestants in reality show history, and that includes The Biggest Loser.

A couple of the women are cute.

But I guess being in the restaurant business and chain smoking takes its toll.

Aside from his Roman Hat Hairdo that shortround guy is a ball of fire though. He might be an early favorite of mine.

As a brit - the biggest difference between the british version and the american was the kitchens. I couldn't get over how dirty virtually all of the kitchens in the american version were.

The guy that got booted out and was looking like a deer in the head lights was LOL

"Oh no what do I do with the scallops I know! hold it in my hand and look like an idiot!"

I'll go over to "Top Chef" they've got Padma

You can't take that at face value. A lot of those scenes are staged by the American producers. That's the nature of American "reality" TV.

Good show. Good enough to turn one off caviar and white chocolate.
:guffaw:Great scene.

How in the hell could you NOT KNOW that was Gordon on the bus in makeup?? Come ON!! And the trash talking.. haven't these people EVER seen this show?? Black Gordon Ramsey... what's the matter with you, dude? Plus, how come the guys didn't even know the menu?? I won't truely be happy until one day Gordon takes one of these donkeys out and runs him or her over with a steamroller :p:lol::evil:

You know, maybe they didn't think it was Gordon. Maybe instead they thought a witch had gotten lost on her way to a temp job.
