OK i was looking at these HD freesat boxes today and i was wondering if anybody has one, i am thinking of replacing my now dead freeview box with a HD freesat one seeing as we have communal satellite access in our house now.

So i was wondering is anybody can tell me if you get more channels than with freeview, and will the freesat HD box that will give me access to BBCHD and ITVHD..

Thanks for any info.:)

You will get more channels, but you won't get the same channels. You'll be missing Dave, Yesterday, Virgin 1, Fiver, Five USA, and the music channels, I doubt Quest will launch on their either.
You'll gain the Zone channels (soon to be CBS channels), a few music channels, a few kids channels, shopping channels and some rubbish film channels.
Soon BBC iPlayer will worth through the network connector, but that's not even in beta yet as far as I know.
Of course you'll get BBC HD, but ITV HD isn't actually a channel, it's just a red button stream on certain programmes, maybe 1 a day. Also Channel 4 HD is supposed to be starting as soon as they can acquire the space.

You can find info here http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/ and here http://freesat.co.uk/index.php?page=whatson.Main&PHPSESSID=l5p3pskjjbbb4q189r8nuknbp4

Cheers bob, that's very helpful as usual......i think i will just wait and see if the prices drop any further, i don't think i can justify £70 plus from just BBCHD.

Freeview HD should be starting rollout by the end of the year so depending on where you are you may be able to get that soon-ish which should include BBC HD, ITV HD and C4HD at launch with Five HD to come later. But it's new tech so it will probably be expensive.
