HBO posted a new trailer for Westworld yesterday.

Wow, after seeing this I might just have to splurge and buy the season pass once it starts. This looks awesome!
Mature version of the trailer (there's only a couple additions and it's really nothing to noteworthy)

Unfortunately not yet, as far as I know. But what's there definitely looks worth checking out.

I vaguely remember the original movie and the only memories I have of Roman World are that it was some kind of uninterrupted toga party

This excerpt is from the original WestWorld. In this scene the visitors are watching an orientation video about Delos.

Western World is a complete re-creation of
the American frontier of 1880.
Here it is possible to relive the excitement
and stresses of pioneer life to the fullest.
Western World is a life of lawless violence,
a society of gun and action.
This is Medieval World,
where we have reconstructed 13th-century Europe.
A world of chivalry and combat, romance and excitement.
Our terms of engineers have spared no expense
in this re-creation
precise to the smallest detail.
Then we have Roman world:
A lusty treat for the senses in the setting of delightful
decadent Pompeii.
Here the traveler experiences the sensual,
relaxed morality that existed at the peak of the Imperial
Roman Empire.

All together, these resorts comprise Delos.

The remake will be broadcast on HBO.

Now use your imagination. :shifty:

Just saw the trailer for Westworld and even though I've only seen the film once this looks to be doing it justice. I'll for sure check it out at some point.

I didn't realize the premiere was so close. Same day as Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Wow, I didn't either. I thought it wasn't until January or somewhere around there.

We've got two new previews and a behind the scenes featurette:

I'm just wondering if prostitutes in a Wild West brothel would have actually kissed between them to titillate the clients, or if it is more a modern thing. Or if the cowboys needed to be titillated at all. You know, after they have gone for weeks without seeing a woman.

Back then probably not, but Westworld is modern or future (I don't know if we've actually heard when the show takes place) fantasy version of the Wild West, not the real one, so it doesn't really matter here.

Welcome to Westworld

Reviews, they are a comin':

Coming Soon - mostly very positive with minor pilot spoilers
/Film - very positive, mild spoilers
New York Times - Good, but "chilly" and pretentious, mild spoilers
Vanity Fair - Flawed but addictive
The Hollywood Reporter - Difficult, intriguing and ambitious, spoiler free

Currently 73% at Metacritic

Based on the first two episodes released to press. Must admit, as much as I love Person of Interest, it did take a little while to lay out all the pieces so the heart of what Nolan/Plageman really wanted to talk about came front and centre. Hopefully the first few episodes of Westworld are, well, world-builders

Hugo - still very much looking forward to it
