Hawaii 5-0: The Second Season Begins!

I wonder if James Caan is going to end up playing some sort of baddie? It would be cool to have a recurring villain not connected to Wo Fat.

I think Danny and Rachel will get back together in the end!
As much as Scott Caan acts like his dad I can't see him being anything other then his father. They have already gone the route of the brother who was a minor crook along with the ex's husband.

I think Rachel will die for some reason, and Danny will move in with Stan, and the two of them will raise the children.

Or Danny raises his daughter, who is now acting out and being crazy because she blames him for her mother's death.

More comedy in the first scenario, more drama in the second.

^That's actually a pretty interesting theory. I wouldn't rule out Rachel dying and Danny having to raise Grace on his own. Not with Stan... if something like that was going to happen, it would so be Steve. I wouldn't mind that. ;) :p

Do we really need "Full House Goes to Hawaii"? ;)

The only reason I would say that he moves in with Stan is so they don't split up Rachael's children.

Maybe Stan has a guest house on that property.

Understand your line of thinking, but it smells a little too much of Magnum P.I. for me.

Full House in Hawaii wouldn't be so bad.   Poor Steve would never get any sleep, but he always looks so happy when he's around Danny and Grace. He'd finally have some family in that big lonely house of his!

Loved tonight's episode! Danny is my favorite, so I loved seeing a Danno-centric episode, even if the whole 'Grace gets kidnapped' angle was totally predictable. Loved the scenes between Danny and his old partner when the guy finally went after Danny. Very, very intense.

I also loved seeing Steve freak out--he doesn't usually lose his cool like that, but you could tell how worried he was about Danny.

I totally wasn't surprised about the voicemail Danny left for Rachel, and I liked that reveal. Danny just wants his family back, period.

Poor Lori--she should know better than to try to race Steve! A valiant effort, though.

All in all, a really great, intense episode!

I think Dannys ex-partner went a little coocoo for Cocoa Puffs while in the joint. He forces Danny to kill his ex-wife's husband so she'll hate him and Danny will suffer? That's a little nutty. Tense episode.

Danny's ex-partner was definitely nuts, but I guess he was hoping to make Danny suffer the same fate he had: losing his family. I wonder if we'll see any fallout from this with regards to Danny and Rachel. He had no choice but to shoot Stan, and did everything he could to minimize the injury, but that doesn't mean Rachel will forgive him.

It looked like the forgiving was in full force by the second family hug she initiated before the fade to black. I was actually kind of watching for that.

I think it would be a stretch to have Rachel blame Danny for any of what went down. She would have full knowledge of the history between Danny and his old partner. She probably knew him well. I'm sure at some point she was made aware of the fact that he murdered Danny's marshal friend, whom she also most likely knew. Cap that with Danny being the driving force to bring Grace home safe and sound, and if anything, it might be used has the twist to re-kindle their romance.

I really did enjoy this one. Very intense. Scott played it very well. :techman:

Are Alex O'Loughlin 's tattoos his or make-up?

I think Rachel did forgive Danny (due to that hug at the end) but will Stan? Intellectually he may understand what Danny did but emotionally he might not. Especially with all the physical therapy he has to go through for his shoulder wound. He might be pissed enough to give Danny a bit of a hard time.

Hard to say, once he gets it through his head that Danny's only other option was to kill him. ;)

AOL's tattoos are real.

Yeah, I don't think Rachel held it against Danny either--I think she knew he had no choice, and at the end of the day, she's just glad he did what he had to to save their child. It could cause more of a divide if Stan holds it against Danny, but Stan seems like he's put up with Danny thus far, so why would a little shooting change that? I think Stan knows Danny did what he did to keep him alive, and to save Grace.

I understand they cover some of them up. His character is only a year out from being a naval officer and what he shows on 5-0 would push the line come time for promotion to full commander.

While it was a quick scene, the idea I got that Stan was willing to be shot if it saved Grace. At least how the actor played it. Plus, who knows. Maybe Danny quickly explained he'll shoot in the shoulder and put the other two in the ground. We didn't see the full extent of their conversation.

In any event, I fully expect this to be completely forgotten by next episode. :p
